| Naoki in Itazura na Kiss really is your typical shoujo male lead, it is alot easier to find manga similar to what you are looking for than anime however a few anime with a similar lead are: - Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (same deal, school idol, perfect in every way, calm and collected, etc. etc., only difference being the female lead is probably a bit more competent in this series) - Kaze no Stigma (surprisingly a shounen, the romance is more of a subplot but same type of male lead, arrogant, calm, likes to bully female lead, etc. etc.) - Nodame Cantabile (a Josei with the same type of lead, brilliant, calm, likes to be coldhearted, etc. etc. however I loved the female lead in this series, very lovable and less generic of a character archetype) Really should suggest you read manga, the archetype you are looking for is extremely common in shoujo, and their are many more shoujo manga than anime, this is true of shounen too however the proportion of shounen made in to anime vs. shoujo made in to anime isn't equal. In other words there are a shit ton more shoujo manga. |
