| Be honest now...why do you watch ecchi? Is it for the interesting stories or the crazy amounts of bewbs and pantyshots. I personally watch ecchi animes for the plot. They are very funny most of the time, and some of them actually have pretty unique and interesting story-line. I will not deny that the extra pervertedness here and there is nice sometimes; however, if it becomes too excessive, coughHighschooloftheDeadcoughcough, then it gets annoying. |

| In general , people watch ecchi for bewbies and a couple of laughs. Kinkiness and humor were always a great combination. It's also amazing to witness the pretexts the mangaka has to offer to strip down the characters. "Hopefully more power she will be granted if she goes topless." or the classic " You will have to touch my breasts in order to synchronize with me and summon your inner powers." |

| Both honestly. A person who doesn't watch ecchi might miss some plot they may have liked from it, simply ignoring it because of the genre. Really though, creative uses of boobs are quite hilarious to watch. Such as that one series where boobs are tantamount to power. |

| I'll admit, I used to enjoy watching a good ecchi, but these days not so much. In any case, if the plot is any decnt, having a bunch of boobs jumping up and down all the time is fine by me. Highschool of the dead was a prime example. |

| Actually, quite frequently for the direction. I'm going to sample anything from stylish studios like SHAFT, Silver Link, (once upon a time GAINAX), regardless of its ecchi level. But really, something can be good for any number of reasons. Sometimes the plot will be great, sometimes it'll be rubbish. Sometimes the direction will be great, sometimes it'll be rubbish. And indeed, fanservice varies quite considerably in quality too. (Nisemonogatari must have the best fanservice ever.) So a well-balanced viewer should enjoy different things for different reasons. |
