| The biggest buzz generated in Japan about the latest ranking is the amazing sales of this new manga series: *6, *,121,058 *,121,058 Ansatsu Kyoushitsu Vol.1 It did very well for a vol.1 of a Jump manga. For recent titles, only Bakuman's vol.1 outsold this. |
| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| AssClass confirmed as one of the biggest hits Jump has seen in years (maybe since Toriko?). 3 day sales - 120k which will come to around 150k in its first week. That's quite amazing. Its rankings in the reader questionnaires have been great as well. Had its first cover (after the first chapter) at chapter 17 which is also quite impressive. It doesn't seem to be very liked here but seems like it fits the japanese fans just perfectly. Personally it's the manga I like the most in WSJ right now so I'm perfectly alright with that. Yuusei Matsui is a great author, both his oneshots and series go from great to awesome. |

| Woah, Ansatsu Kyoshitsu volume 1. Really unexpected. I like it but I didn't expect it would sell this much. I have a hard time remembering the characters except for the sensei. *checks WSJ Livejournal* Woah, it's doing well in rankings. Pretty surprising. Glad to see Nisekoi is doing well in sales and in rankings. Good job. And Yuutosei is in there. I want a Rettousei anime! Alicization volumes fail to rank again. *sigh* One more month till volume 11 comes out and it will probably join those two. Volume 2 seems to be missing too. Oh well, Progressive is still on top. Fairy Dance manga isn't a hit like the LN huh. The synopsis should be changed though. Good sales overall I guess. |

Vol.6 (325,414) was ahead of Vol.7 (303,638) by ~20k last time :O Rank 19 in the `Light Novels' here is actually SAO Vol.2, which I saw on 2ch a few days ago. 7,208+419,203=426,411... which coincides with Vol.2's total last week. OniAi Vol.8 sold 25,951 last week, so it can't be at 166k already. This list has to be double checked... On a side note, SAO Vol.9 and Vol.10 fail to rank again as expected. |
