| You aren't accounting for other people, armeg. Suppose one million people support someone, but none of them vote for him/her, because they have no chance of winning. What do the results suggest? That zero people support said candidate and that the candidate's views represent no one. That's obviously an extreme example, but the logic holds in reality. Not voting for someone who you wish to represent you reduces the validity of the results. |
