| I rarely look at people's profiles - the only time I really do at all is if they friend me or comment on my profile because then I'm wondering if they are a random (which is fine, I don't really care) or someone I should know. It changes nothing, it's just habit plus is an easy way to know a little about who you're dealing with - namely age and location. Neither matter on any meaningful level, but are just basic information you should know about people you're interacting with. Oh, I also tend to look at the recent updates to their list next to the basic info up top, which gives a topic to bring up if they are someone I'm talking to (and who falls into the "adds me or comments on my page" thing first). If their profile is fucking huge or full of a billion images I don't even bother though, at least put it in spoilers if you're gonna do that - it's just annoying. If I wanted to see images I'd go to, OH WOW, an imageboard or an image database. A billion random anime promo pics and screenshots don't show your personality on an ANIME WEBSITE they just make you look like a kid who went crazy upon realizing "holy shit I can put images here". Hell, mine is too long to me and it's just two paragraphs, but I don't care enough to shorten it up. |
