Btw, If he has sex already, it would make his image incredibly bad ... cause hottie play boy doesn't really need development ...
LOL, so having sex for the first time is development instead? what nonsense.

My respect for Yamato's character is decreasing by the episode. Not a bad episode overall, better than the last one imo.
3.5/5
but that's not true it's just a writing cop out to make us think he's "kind" character interest.

You have a bad image of someone because he already had sex. lolwhut?!
LOL IKR.

Furthermore, you have to keep in mind that he was probably single or maybe even temporarily dating some of these girls when he was doing these things with them. Not abnormal for someone his age - but very abnormal for anime where people this age normally seem to all be virgins.
i don't understand why teenagers are almost always acting like they don't have a sex drive, or is always avoiding it in anime. that's why it's a one up in my opinion by just the fact that sex is at least TALKED about.
even in tonari, the female MC's friend was talking about how she lost her virginity.
although it ended very comedically, though, lol.
saxophone15 said: Casual sex (if this is even the case here) is something I frown upon. I believe sex should be performed by people who actually love each other. I know everyone has their own morals that they abide by and casual sex is not uncommon....but it doesn't mean I need to like it. I think this is part of why Yamato is being seen in less than favorable light. With proper character development though, that view can change.
i think the point is for you to realize that what she is doing is wrong, though.
i, for one, can't even understand what "casual" sex is, since it's an in intimate thing. but to each their own i guess.

Even some anime viewer in western countries are hating on Yamato even though we actually don't know much about him. Did he really kiss every girl in his school, isn't that just a rumor?
the fact is that he certainly knows his lips around a girl. remember him giving all those different kisses to mei last ep?
Mayuka said:
No. I prefer an MC that doesn't go around and do every girl.
it sure as heck adds interest, regardless.
Amutofan123 said:
That's an awful reason to kiss someone.
yeah because all animanga shoujou male MCs should be perfect and virginified.
Lupta said: umm comforting aiko was actually giving her sex
WHAT.
HibiChouchou said:
So basically hes a man whore and that makes him realistic.
yamoto is NOT paid for sex so that would make him a slut. git yor vocabs right, dood.
second of all, yes. man whore/sluts exist. sorry.
saxophone15 said: Lol what!? It's called being smart not dumb, but I know a lot of people make dumb decisions.
he means that for a male to not use his penis when a woman is wanting and willing is pretty much unheard of. ever heard that "males are dogs"?
yoite- said: The episode was kinda boring. I hope they won't kiss in every episode because it won't be as cute anymore. I want it to happen unexpectedly 😁
lol, understood.

lol, this girl serious?
she honestly thought everyone was a virgin like herself? not only does she expect people not to have sex, but they can't kiss either? this is the second time she's been "shocked".
" We're so different. "
WHAT. because he's not a virgin? wtheck? jeez louise, what a virgin.
and i'm thinking this relationship is already going to pot. mei jumps like a scared rabbit when she hears of anything intimate, and then yamoto admits his self esteem is equivalent to garbage.
i'm no kind of expert on relationships, but isn't it bad for damaged people to be in relationships that REQUIRE undamaged people?
and finally, that girl who sluts around with that guy legit looks like she's at least 22. so it's not only yamoto but other people look grown as heck.
Florete said: This show is not really doing it for me. I don't find the relationship between the main characters believable at all (do they need to fit at least one kiss into every episode?) and this new plot is so obviously just a way to arbitrarily antagonize someone to make the main couple look so much more "romantic" or something because, through everything, he's going to choose Mei. And the way they play up Kurosawa is suffocating. I facepalmed when he said he wasn't good enough.
I agree. I would also add that I hated the dialogue in this episode. In the bowling alley, when that dude who isn't Kurokawa said "Mei is bad at sports lmao" out loud. Who would even say that?
And then Aiko just tells the audience her story. With that, she destroyed all the potential mystery. And she didn't even tell it anyone else, we just suddenly started hearing her narration. This is really lazy writing in my opinion.
And of course Aiko has piercings, because apparently the mangaka has some personal issues against girls who wear make up and have piercings.
At the end of the episode, when they kissed and held hands, I felt absolutely nothing. Which is sad, because at least there were a few moments in the previous two episodes that I found cute.
I want to make it clear that I don't judge anyone for having lots of sex (between two consenting adults etc.) or none at all. That is not why I don't like this show. What probably bothers me the most, though, is this:
I think this series pretends to be more mature than it actually is. One one hand this is a series featuring high schoolers who are sexually active - which is rare in anime and therefore a bold choice (in real life it's pretty common, but I don't mind either way). There's also the dark subject matter of stalkers and bullying. But on the other hand, this series handles all of that with zero tact, as I see it. And the two-dimensional characters don't help matters much either.
I can tell Aiko isn't a bad girl, but like. If you're sleeping with another guy who obviously adores you, then lay off someone else's boyfriend. What makes you think YOU have any right to date him??? Talking to Mei like that D:< If you wanted someone who definitively knew how they felt and would treasure Yamato the way you expect any girl to, then you should've tried to prove that yourself. Yamato doesn't want you. It's as simple as can be. You can say a girl is "ugly" and there's "nothing good about her" but that's just because you can't see those qualities yourself since you clearly look down on others esp by judging their exterior. And that's where you've already lost.
I thought she was really pretty when she appeared in the first episode, but the way she carries herself is just shit. I'm disappointed. You're just like the rest of the trash girls who like Yamato. Great. Lmao.
I'm surprised many ppl dislike Yamato. Yeah, they rushed the dating process and Yamato likes Mei WAY too fast, but nonetheless, I'm still enjoying this anime haha
Seriously I don't understand what Mei have seen in a guy like Yamato. He's a walking red flag.
Just let Aiko have him. They both suit each other for the sluts they are.
I loved this episode bc Mei helped out another couple, and this was so sweet. Plus, the last scene where Yamato gives a serious kiss to Mei is so funny.
