Holy fuck. IMHO, from all of Naruto until this point in the Shippuuden, this was the best episode by far. Yeah, there wasn't any fights, nor jutsus nor anything. BUT GOD DAMN the cinematography was amazing. Every single scene made me feel something. I not only felt what the characters were feeling, I felt I WAS on the scene. I wasn't feeling for them, I was feeling with them.
I suffered with the previous couple episodes and this one was cathartic, just like for Shikamaru. I almost cried with him. This death got me good 😭.
