It's not my fav, but when Guilty Crown ended, I rewatched the 18th episode ( if I remember correctly ~ when Ouma was betrayed and so ). I can't even remember how many times I rewatched it!

Satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. After I'm done with it I put the show in the pile designated for things that need to be shelved when I do my next alphabetization of my collection or I put it back in the mailer to send back to Netflix. Then I put in the next disc of something else or go watch the latest episode the current shows I'm following via legal streaming.

Sit in the corner and cry for an hour then jump in my time machine and go back to the period before I watched it so I can rewatch it again as if it were new

I go out walking, through streets paved with gold. I lift some stones, see the skin and bones of a city without a soul. I go out walking under an atomic sky, where the ground won't turn and the rain it burns like the tears when I said goodbye. Yeah I go with nothing. Nothing but the thought of that anime. I go wandering.

I go drifting through the capitals of Tin, where men can't walk or freely talk, and sons turn their fathers in. I stop outside a church-house where the citizens like to sit. They say they want the Kingdom, but they don't want God in it. I go out riding, down that old 8-lane. I pass by a thousand signs, looking for my own name. I go with nothing, but the thought it'd be there too. Looking for my anime.

I go out there. In search of experience. To taste and to touch, and to feel as much as a man can, before he repents.

I go out searching, looking for one good anime. A story that would not bend or break. That would sit at the Father's right hand. I go out walking with a Bible and a gun, the word of God lays heavy on my heart, I'm sure I've found the one. Now, Jesus, don't you wait up. Jesus, I'll be home soon. Yeah I go out for the papers, tell her I'll be back by noon.

I left with nothing but the thought it'd be there too. Looking for my anime. I go wandering.

Then I listen to Bono yodel a bit...
Let's go bowling.

Example: Fate/Zero.
What I feel: relieved that I got it over it. Got excited, and then saddened that the story ended (also saddened that Fate/Stay Night should've been given the same treatment as Ufotable did!)
What I do: Move on. Can't waste time. Gotta watch something else.

If the ending is good. I will rewatch it 3-20 times. Must have watch Lelouch die about that many times.

So Yeah rewatch :P.

I was going to start watching Code Geass, Thanks.

If the anime has a good ending which my favourite animes usually do I cry ^^, but if a anime just ends abruptly because there wasn't or isn't going to be another season, I just get annoyed and then rant on some forum about it :P

I always want more so I feel sad and sometimes frustrated depending on the ending. Sometimes I'll rewatch straight away or I move on and try and find something equally as awesome.

I never really feel like that, unless the show's mood itself was actually depressing. Finishing something usually feels good.

Assuming I havent already I would try to find the info on its source material to see if it had a different ending or if it is ongoing. If it is ongoing I will usually spoil myself.

When I'm watching something and it's about to end I quickly find a new show but after watching the last episode I get into a phase called "Anime Ending Hangover" and my thoughts are on the show, how I wish there was a sequel or another ajnime like it, and how great the characters are... but this soon ends when I discover another worthy series and I forget about the previous show as if it wasn't even that great to began with. This is the only way to get over AEH safely; by distracting yourself with another show... but this process has a side effect that all otakus must live through every ending and shed some manly tears, vowing to never forget the anime, so they rewatch it and suffer until they can get out of that anime's world and move on to the next. A sad life of a dedicated fan, there is no medication known to cure AEH and many fans lapse into depression from lack of sleep and feelings of loss, this is a serious issue that we must acknowledge.

What I do: Move on to something else.

I would say I have a feeling of not knowing what will come next. After spending so much time on something, I kinda wonder what it is that I can fill that same time with. There's usually a bit of sadness, since it's something I've enjoyed and wish the story didn't end, but I'm always looking forward to finding the next show.

Watch Madoka Magica, Toradora, Gurren Laggan, Bakemonogatari, or Eureka 7 then.

Now to answer the question, usually happy for the characters, bummed out for me. I really like it when anime I love have great endings, but I hate that they have to end. I wish I could watch the anime that I love forever. However saying that, I would probably get tired of watching the same show for years.
Let this be our little secret, no needs to know we're feeling HIGHER AND HIGHER AND HIGHER!

I felt mad after watching a shitty adaption of the great series Black God (KuroKami) long ago.

It depends on what kind of ending really, I usually feel depressed to see it ending, but never cried over a anime ending or movie. : p

I feel pretty damn satisfied tbh. Any anime that's a favorite of mine had a satisfying/good ending that I was pleased with and ended the series in a way that didn't leave any questions without answer.

As for what I do, normally I just start another anime that looks promising enough.

lately, they tend to end with me feeling annoyed at having to wait a sometimes potentially indefinite amount of time for more.
e.g. beelzebub, fairy tail, mayo chiki
otherwise i feel annoyed at huge difficult-to-understand plot elements near the end.
e.g. guilty crown, romeo x juliet
otherwise sad cause i won't be seeing more of my favourite characters.
e.g. nisemonogatari, yuri yuri, working!!
sometimes contemplative
e.g. angel beats, fate/zero, mahou shoujo madoka*magica
i don't know everything
i just know what i know...
