According to the official website, the OP theme of Kokoro Connect will be replaced with a new song on the Blu-ray and DVD due to production circumstances.

Kikuchi Hajime, the composer of the theme, has been suspended from working as the artist of eufonius because he insulted seiyu Momoi Haruko via Twitter last August. When Momoi tweeted that she felt happy that her songs have been sung at karaoke places, Kikuchi sent her a reply which said, "Useless." Momoi replied, "I'm sorry if you took it that way, but I'm always serious." Kikuchi replied, "I'm serious too."

Bandai Namco Game has announced that eufonius' song "Future Indications" will be removed from the PSP game "Kokoro Connect Wochi Random", which will be released in November.

Nice low blow there Hajime. Nice job insulting someone who is happy their work is being sung by others. I may not be a fan of her songs but at least show some respect.

I liked the first OP though. Oh well.

So any news on how the last 4 episodes will be aired?

Maybe this explains the sudden switch in the OP last episode. I was wondering about that. Man, it just seems like this series is cursed, which sucks because it's good.

I suspected as much. It was really unusual to see a change in the OP midway through the 3rd Arc during the TV broadcast.

Must be to do with the "incident", which surfaced due to Kikuchi Hajime of eufonius on Twitter I heard.

Well that's unfortunate that it happened, though glad to see consequences for his actions as well. Also explains why the OP changed so suddenly. The original OP will always be the true OP to me though.

It's not like the OP was bad. while it wasn't that good it was still decent. More importantly why must all sorts of annoying people constantly try to tarnish Kokoro Connect's good name? I LOVE THIS ANIME SO STOP DOING ALL SORTS OF HORRIBLE STUFF TO RUIN IT!!!!

And why exactly are you blaming the animation production studio for the actions of the composer of an unrelated band?

Ya that was a mistake on my part. Edited a couple minutes later but someone (you) caught me on it too quickly : /

The controversies would end if people who are always in the limelight stop giving reasons for people to bust open their closets and throw out their skeletons for everyone to see.

Kikuchi should have seen this from miles away, but nooooooo, he still chose to talk trash to Haruko Momoi.

Meh, Twitter once again shows the asshole side of celebrities.

Jealous of what?
The legal age of consent in Japan is 13, so shota is totally legal in Japan. In some western countries shota might be considered child porn.

Now we will only have to wait for statement from creator that he doesn't like it :P
And all of this from one show - too bad as it is decent one.

But good that there was reaction to it.

That explains the hasty manner that they replaced the opening theme in the last 2 TV episodes. Didn't anyone else find it odd that they'd replace the theme song so late in the series? I could predict that something was wrong from that point. And, unfortunately, I was right.

The fans have to suffer because that prick couldn't keep his mouth shut. Knowing the otaku community, they're probably outside of his house with pitchforks as we speak. I don't see how anyone could sympathise with the guy. His carelessness has caused a lot of trouble for the fans, the band and the animation company. It's gonna be a huge pain in the ass for Silver Link to replace the music.

Excuse me? That's how it goes in the working world which you have probably not worked a day in your life. Say something bad on any social media site on ANY job (yes even McDonalds) you will be called in and terminated on the spot. He should consider himself lucky he was only suspended and lost quite a bit of profit too.

It's the internet anyone can say anything on it. But their are dumb people who don't realize when you're working at any job, you have to be careful what you say. The company will find it and terminated on the spot the next day.

LOL. Funny to hear about the "working world" from a little kiddo. If I haven't worked a day in my life, you probably haven't left your house even once in your life if you say something so ridiculous.

First, it's unrelated to his job. What he writes in his twitter is his personal and private matter. Technically, that's supposed to be the end of discussion but since you're so totally ignorant, let me enlighten you: people don't get fired over things like these. They could get fired for insulting customers, they could get fired for insulting their superiors, but even that is rarely the case - do you know who Lewis Hamilton is? The Formula One driver, who once said "Go fuck yourself" to his team director during the race, and that was broadcasted live worldwide - so going by your logic he should've been "terminated" on the spot. He didn't even get a fine. Lastly, people could get fired for saying someting extremely unethical, like that russian stewardess who wrote she's happy about the crash of a plane from the company she was working at.
This guy did nothing to get fired or even suspended. Even if he's a public person. There's plenty of artists, musicians, actors or politicians writing much worse things in their twitter (like, dunno, "Madonna is a dumb old slut" (c) ), but nobody takes any action against them because a) it's their private matter and b) it's just plain stupid.

That made me laugh.
If he behaves like a dick in open public (aka twitter) insulting other people it gives a bad impression for the people he works for. So yeah, he did several things for that he can get fired.
It's not like it happens all the time but sometimes it sure does.

However, even though that it may seem harmless on the outside you never know if there were other things in the background as well leading to that decision.

I was kinda surprised by the new OP, too but I like it a lot more than the first one.
And yes, KC seems to be cursed to get all that negative publicity.
Too bad, it's my favourite anime in its season but I guess it suffers one way or another because of all that.

Sometimes innocent people suffer because of an idiot's actions. Nothing new. And it's actually indirectly thanks to him that this entire Ijime Connect thing started in the first place, so ...

If you say stupid shit publicly, publicly being the key word here, your employer is not going to be happy because it reflects poorly on them by extension. Removing their association with you is hardly unreasonable.
