Sword Art Online~. Looks like its slowly lowering in sales each week, but still selling just over 100k+ copies from all 10.

Yeah. It sold 102,137 for this week. The last time it was close to 100k weekly sales was during the August 20-26 week, with 112,924. I see it dropping under 100k weekly sales unless Episode 13 is extremely good.

Edit:
11 weeks now with all volumes charted. 12 weeks for Volume 1 of course.

Weekly sales trend...
Week of / Weekly sales / Cumulative sales
27.08-02.09 / 118,420 / 2,693,776
03.09-09.09 / 161,268 / 2,855,044
10.09-16.09 / 131,564 / 2,986,608
17.09-23.09 / 102,137 / 3,088,745

I do think surges in the anime BD volume rankings on Amazon JP correlate with boosts in weekly sales for the LN. Episode 10 caused a surge and the weekly sales jumped from 118,420 to 161,268 as a result.

jmal, what's your take on this situation?

yay for ao haru ride's good sales! ^O^ keep it up!
and kurobas, keep going, keep going! :DDD
and as expected chihayafuru' total sales are nearing 300k in the second week! amazing stuff!
And whoah Zetsuen no Tempest! Those sales are like super amazing for just two days of sales!
Code Breaker nearing 55k in this volume! Jmal, have any of the previous volumes ranked on the Oricon before? I don't remember seeing them. :/
The only thing I'm sad about KamiHaji's sales. :/ Come on Japan! That manga is waaay better than SukiYo or Kaibutsu-kun!

It is, it'll get a boost of sales when it airs, tomorrow there is a "Maharajan Eve" to introduce the cast (they've been teasing about "the best cast of all time" since last month). looks like the cast has already been revealed.

Detective Conan tops the chart, and it's its 2nd week. (well last week it sold pretty low for a first week)
JoJo and Magi are selling pretty well, a boost will be added when their anime airs.
Bleach is reaching the 600,000 slowly, I wonder if it's gonna reach it this time.
Kuroko no Basuke is selling well too, let's hope we'll get a 2nd season soon.
One Piece still in that chart.. It looks like reaching 3,000,000 will be hard.
SAO is also still in that chart, if Phi Brain got a 3rd season then we might get a 2nd season of SAO.

If the next episodes are as I think they will be
(Warning, big spoilers)

So, if everything goes as I think it will, SAO sales should go up reaaaaally well after episodes 13-15, and on 16 the 3rd and 4th volumes will also sell a lot.

SAO will rank higher if episode 13 never fails us? I heard they did a good job with it though I haven't really watched it myself.

And it's still selling, better than all of Jump's current manga except One Piece and Naruto iirc. There was a teaser in Jump that it has another 4-5 years left. (the last arc is gonna be longer than the Arrancar/Aizen's arc)

Aww sheeeet, an even longer arc? Well, if they wait long enough with the anime to NOT need fillers I might just watch it for completionists sake.
But yeah, after accumulating fans for that long it won't just get cancelled.

Yea but supposedly Kubo has been planning for this arc since 2009 (he mentioned that he's planning for the next 2 arcs in an interview in 2009, he forshadowed some things in the fight against Aizen and in the FB arc) and from the early spoilers Jump published (a reason for people to be looking forward to the last arc, since the anime ended and Bleach in general has been doing horribly for the last 2 years) it looks like he has lots of material to talk about other than dragging the arc pointlessly like he did with the Arrancar arc.

I just hope he manages to somehow smoothly connect it to the rest of Bleach, because that has always been a main problem with Bleach for me, the various arcs just seem to pop out when needed and don't come as naturally as in One Piece or even Naruto. But the anime fillers probably supported this impression and I never read the manga so who am I to judge.

In the next episode preview for 12 it showed the whole fishing thing as being the next episode.

Still, I believe they are giving quite a lot of episodes for ALO.
Or maybe it's just me, but I didn't enjoyed ALO as much as SAO

Still hoping for a 2do season with GGO ;_;

I was surprised myself that they add all fishing thing. But I judged only from episode names.

ALO is different of cause but it has a lot of good action, less episodic story and the final which is on par with SAO's(but rather long epiloge ruins the mood... just a bit thought)

I think it'll be:

Leaving the 1st season aside, if SAO gets a 2nd season... I have no idea how it's going to be paced.
GGO was nice and all but Mother's Rosario was kinda boring imo and it was only 1 volume... so they can't really make a 25 episode series out of GGO and MR, and I don't think they can make a 12 episode one either... especially since it's awkward ending the 2nd season with the MR arc.

Alicization is definitely going to need a season of its own... (of course assuming 2nd and 3rd season will happen - which I hope it does).

It's obvious by looking at the sales that SAO is going to have more animated stuff.
Another thing that could happend is a movie for GGO, or a 12 episode season for GGO and a movie for Mother's rosario

I haven't read Alizication yet, I'm waiting for the 10th volume to be fully translated, but for what I heard, it probably will have a season for itself :3
