----------------------------------------

Well, it looks like this series has come to an end. It's been a fun ride although at times, I'd say the series was a bit of a bore. The flowers of Rinne pours down from the sky as result of the battle between. GG Moid though, GG.

Overall, I thought this finale and series was alright although it lacked some qualities. The original OP song from Season 1 was better than this imo but it turns out to be entertaining at a lighthearted level. The fillers inserted in were sort of a bother but some of the latter episode made it up for that.

The three girls are still together!!!!

I like how Madoka didn't put up with that atone for our sins crap from Yurikano and made her and Dizelmine come back with everyone.

Such a beautiful ending, the ultimate alls well that ends well ending and everyone is together.

Moid also got what he deserved, him disappearing alone and mad was the best punishment he could receive, the universe don't need him.

This finale (along with the previous episode) was a huge disappointment. No answers, dull conclusion to the crisis and a big deus ex machina. So the 2 planets aren't colliding anymore. Why? Just because.
And what was the deal with all those space Lagranges in the end? Who knows.
5/10. Not maru at all.

i agree with you, such a disappointing series. the characters, the mech and the setup were beautiful, the story just sucked the potential out of this. Too much kamogawa advertising, there should have been more mecha fighting scenes but it was all just ship-to-ship shooting each other. so much to complain about.

It was a nice ending but i would love to see more.
Seems like Madoka has allot of influence now but she doesn't seem to realise it she is able to keep her club up tho and she is doing allot for everyone.
It also looks like that Lan and Yurikano are the ones in power now instead of there brothers which is for the better after the fight there brothers had.
And it was also explained why Asteria looked so young i wonder if she was asleep or something like that in the Rinne.

Moid also seems to have been dealt with guess the Rinne itself wanted to prevent him from doing things like that again.

The planets are no longer going to collide because the Lagranges intervened and altered their orbits. (that's why that one was drifting towards one of the problematic planets).

Those Lagranges were the embodied will of the three girls and their desires for things to work out. As Yurikano stated, the Rinne took its form from those with the strength to work with it. It was hardly a "deus ex machina" because from the start there have been lots of indications that the Rinne would respond to those almost unique individuals with the strength of will to do so. It just took this final crisis for Madoka, Lan and Muginami to realize what they could do. I'm sure between those three those flowers have a lot of "Honey Do's" on their lists.

I was surprised how much I liked this anime. Moid was one of the most realistic villain I've seen in a while (calculative yet insane) and I was really happy that they showed that his only power came from controlling people. Once he lost that, he was nothing. I liked the characters, they were very human like with mistakes and all and none of them felt like they had no purpose or no nature. This show lost points only on not being very throughout in their explanations (looking a lot into characters and their actions was needed while it wasn't necessary for this sort of anime), way too short last battle (the true one) and I felt like Yurikano should have had a far greater role in it (being Dizel's love and all). The only other issue I had with it is the lack of ending for plenty of characters. I have no idea what actually are Dizel, Gulio and Yurikano doing while they are pretty much the most important people in the anime. I'm not sure if we had any information on Pharos either since all issues were solved, it's not needed so was it disbanded? Maybe I missed these things since it was midnight when I watched it. XD Anyway, episode was sort of boring so 4/5. The whole thing gets 8/10 for now (might drop later when I think about it more).

Quite a bit of the episode was just colorful and visually pleasing. The colors used for all of the key moments was good, and then every key moment post resolution had all of the best backgrounds for Kamogawa and other places chosen.

Thank goodness viz/hulu offered it in HD.

For the plot, pretty safe and kind of expected resolution in my opinion. The tone of the show just never led me to think it would do something daring or outright unexpected and depressing. I think I came away most surprised at Dizelmine actually being defeated from that move last episode and then him and Yurikano freely leaving Rinne unharmed. Even more shocking is the fact that he got ten or so years shaved off so looks even cooler now. That was nice..

I think there is potential in terms of plot for another season. Bermuda Triangle and Rinne, no explanation for what happened to Moid, for example.. Id stick around I guess.

Best moments of the episode for me were all around Array, Izo, Kirius. Their cooking, and then eventual meeting with Yurikano. I loved when Array ran up to her and was crying like a baby, and then everyone else came and was like dont ever leave them again. They all had my favorite plot moments here. Then when they threw on the jerseys and was teasing Izo's cooking, lol. .

--

Overall this second half of Lagrange was better than the first half. Everything seemed more tense, more characters were able to share in the action (Kirius Izo Array), backstory detailed was pleasing. The plot arc on Dizelmine and Villaguilio was my favorite as was the final three episodes. There were a few down moments though that probably could have been skipped (those yurish moments, the mecha obsessed girl episode) but everything else was largely enjoyable. I still hold the same opinion I had last season, the three female main characters are just not that interesting on their own, maybe just for the fact it doesnt appear they had any sort of actual character change across the episodes or just the other cast members are just more interesting than three high school age girls.

8 / 10.

Ha, they made a coloring mistake near 20:57...the lunch bags changed color. Maybe they'll fix it when they release the discs.

I quite enjoyed the series overall...best part of it for me was when the Jersey club song started to resound across Kamogawa and everyone was confused. Still, I wonder that happened to Moid. I'm guessing all the times he tried to give himself a Memoria on his body finally had him pay the price...that, or his strange taste in food really didn't agree with his stomach.

nah.. though it wasn't intended for me, i liked your post because it made my thoughts on what happened that much clearer.. thus, i will never deduct my score of 8/10 for the second season.. actually, this acclaimed "deus ex machina" would fit the show.. it's strongest points have always been about the characters and the overall Ja-ji-bu spirit that surrounds the mood of the show.. it didn't have to go dark and gritty and everytime it almost does, it comes back up to just shove that off aside and proceed to making the show go along with Madoka's positive character.. now, the Ja-ji-bu is universal and they freelance for the entire Polyhedron, along with new branches.. spreading all the Ja-ji-bu Damashii to the entire universe.. hahh.. i really like this show.. it's kinda unique for being a (non-)mecha show that has this kind of mood.. of course, it has always been weak about explaining stuff and i think the supposed beauty of "Rinne no Lagrange" was not conveyed well enough.. oh well, at least. i'll never forget these three girls.. it's been really a fun ride.. i'd go for a Bermuda triangle sequel or even a Yurikano prequel..

It had no baibai scene! No bittersweet or touching end either. Was pretty happy and sweet. Astria needed to have more scenes. And I honestly have no idea what happend to Moid. Did the Rinne do something? Did his body say f*ck you? Something else?
In any case, 8/10.

Not a bad ending at all. In fact, I'd say it was rather enjoyable despite the numerous unanswered questions, and a significant amount of others answered only tangentially. I expect (and already see) a number of people will be upset because things they wanted to know were only inferred rather than outright stated.

But I loved Moid's rant just before he . . . ?, and the aftermaths that were shown all managed to elicit some form of a smile, so I'll call it successful end, though certainly not masterful.

Overall, the series reminded me of a "kiddy" roller coaster. A number of ups and downs, but never quite getting that huge plunge or a vicious twist. And all in all, not a bad ride. I'm not a fan of serious roller coasters anyway.

NO idea but why did he got away so easily?!

I didn't really see that coming! But seriously, they (Madoka, Lan & Muginami) never aware that it was him all along who started behind all of this but most of them didn't really care!? WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?!

Therefore fuck this shit. 4/10 for me. so many misunderstanding/random issues goin on throughout the episodes just like Guilty Crown. I mean I cannot believe this is such a 'trollfest' (where was I? Accel World?).

PS - Still waiting for Kamogawa days OVA get subbed though.

Part B of this episode saved it from be a complete let down.

Season 1 was significantly better than this sequel. This season just could not recapture the spark that (to me) was created from the series start. Things just kind of happened and what little action there was was simplistic le ie boiled down to Madoka just getting conflicted party's together and saying "let's get along!". The cliche suplex that ended the "boss" fight was so lame I couldn't even smile at how bad the conclusion to the Rinne appearing was given the seriousness of the situation. The best thing Lagrange had going for it were it's characters and (again imo) they floundered in S2. Whatevs, not every show can be amazing.

I never thought that Moid is the only person who can steal the show all the time, pops up out-of-nowhere & 'trolled' everything till it kills my mood to watch every episodes. #sarcasm

At the end, that's just great.

WHAT. THE. HELL. JUST. HAPPENED. Seriously. my guess is that if you wish hard enough whilst inside the Rin’Ne, you can turn back time, move planets…or perhaps rid of a pesky little villain.

It's official. It's My HiME (Sunrise) meets Evangelion all over again. I can't believe this show is finally over. #SIGH

I have to say that while this season was weaker than first, i still very much enjoyed it and looked forward to next episode every week. The main issue here is that plot tried too hard to become dark and edgy. The ending was resolved very simply (nobody giving a damn about Moid) but it managaed to capture Rinne's unique lighthearted feeling and was rather satisfying. I'm rating it a 7, the same as first season because it was great to see Rinne and it's great characters again.

Yup, everything is a piece of cake in Rinne, while I actually liked this series for it, this final episode took it to whole new level and made me not like it. It was ridiculous that Moid simply disappeared, everthing else was still somewhat okay.

I laughed at the guys wearing the jerseys and the girls brought Yurikano back, those were the two good points for me.

Hate to repeat myself but, what was that all about?! I mean why didn't Asteria checked the branch office about what THAT happened?! Didn't we just saw it coming?!

Goddamn it, my emotions are all over the place.

NOT fair how that part was left unexplained at the end, seriously. Really, anime? Really? Decent ending.

There were still lots unexplained stuff. What was the tablet that Moid took? A blueprint on how to build a vox? thus the vox-like robot that Dizel piloted? Also i thought that Dizel forgave Vilajulio after the first major fight at around episode 7 but suddenly after Dizel met up with Moid, he was mad at him again? What exactly happened to Yurikano for her to be in the Rinne? And if she was in Rinne, why did she appear in the real world with her having amnesia? And after that disappearing again into the Rinne again?

Dizel turning younger again was kinda funny because is he younger than Lan now? If so i would like to see him calling her Onee-chan just for the laughs and i would love to see Yurikano dating him as his 10 years younger now.

I still feel unsatisfied with all these unexplained stuff, however since the show ended happily and there were some lighthearted episode that i really enjoyed along with the beautiful songs by Megumi Nakajima. Im gonna rate it 7/10

Possibly. At the very least, it was important details on how to help a human merge with the Rinne, which is all we really need to know for the story.

Decent ending to a decent show, 7/10 from me.
Also, seem like nowadays a show must give explanation about everything otherwhise people can't understand what's going on.

The rinne is something mysterious, something that can bend reality from it's inhabitant's will. No character in the show can truly define what it is, how it works or what possibiliy it might brings. Thinking of it as anything logical is wrong to begin with.

Avenir said:

No.
It was implied ever since the start of this season (and possibly in season 1 as well) that the Rinne is something that can bend reality to it's user's will.

Moid cultivated Dizelmine's feeling of hatred toward Vilajulio and De Metrio until they were strong enough for him to wish that everything should just get destroyed.
Astelia was used and breaked up in the process, letting her dark feeling overcome herself.
Yurikano wished to disapear because she couldn't stand to see her brother and the man she loved fight against each other, which resulted in her sealing herself into the Rinne. Also this harsh reality made her break down which was the result of why the experiment failed and killed many people in the process.
Destroying a planet is just fine but when this power is used for good, to save and protect people then it's a Deus ex machina? What's this double standard about?

OrochiPL said:
(nobody giving a damn about Moid)

Because it was a crisis Moid was left alone in the base because he couldn't flee even if he wanted to and that pretty much everyone was occupied at their post.

The world is ending, let's assign 20 guards to a guy that can't get away anyway. Way to waste ressources.
Because you do not see guard swarming around Moid doesn't mean that he can just go past the door and escape.
We're talking about the main communication base from earth to outter space. Even though personal can walk freely wherever they have access, for someone like Moid that doesn't have access to anywhere, even to the exit, he's pretty much trapped inside of a big cage.
Thought that was made clear that Moid is not a fighter, nor is he a ninja. Any normal sized man can probably jump on his face and trash him into a corner.

This is all stuff you should be able to deduce yourself.
The tablet is, like you have expected, something akin to a blueprint to create a memoria and have access to the rinne. Moid couldn't do it on himself so he tried to do it on Dizelmine.
Astelia's Vox separated into three when she break down: Ignis, Lympha and Aura. They can only bring the Vox's real power when they are together as one, hence why Astelia tried to prevent Madoka to pilot Aura in season 1.
Meanwhile the Vox of Dizelmine is not part of anything, it's a Vox on it's own just like Astelia's was.

Dizelmine forgave Vilajulio but god knows how human never forget. Dizelmine is human, it's impossible not to have any doubt especially when you follow a path you do not beleive in.
Dizelmine thought that it was impossible for both Le Garite and De Metrio to survive at the same time. To him it was like running into a wall with his friend on his side saying "It's okay, everything will be alright" when he beleive that it won't be alright.
Moid cultivated those feeling and manipulated him slowly but surely. Meanwhile the experiment he went through is suposed to be limited to prevent the user's sanity and safety yet Moid made Dizelmine push himself far enough so that it would mentally break him.

Yurikano sealed herself into the Rinne to avoid the conflict between her brother and the man she loved as well as to escape the reality of the failed experiment she participated in.
What she sealed was her soul, her body still remained which was captured by Le Garite and kept secret by Dezilmine.
During the experiment where they switched Medaka's and Yurikano's body, her soul was momentary bring down from the Rinne, once her business was done and she returned to her own body she still choosed to part way because she wanted to atone for her 'sins'.

I'm...so disappointed. This could of been so much more, just what are these writers smoking to make such shit progress for shit endings. All that friendship build up in the first season for nothing. I really liked that washed out tone style in S1 which should of been used more often too.

6/10 I would of given it 7/10 if hinted madoka would marry one of the 3 dudes., preferably the red guy.

I never thought Dizelmine has been de-aging so easily after he's defeated & I thought that Yurikano has NO longer exist but apparently I was wrong..

Damn, so many unexpected plot twist throughout the series till it gets my emotion so intense.

That however, NO ONE knows (Except Astelia & Youko but it just 'left-hanging' wondering what happened) why exactly did that for in the first place. Whether or not he's working with the Le Garite or against them.

Yeah, I seriously loathe that dude. He is an absolute self-righteous dickhead if you ask me.

This probably the only time i'll ever say this but they really shouldn't have put so much focus on the story. It truly came off as a jumbled mess with no focus on direction even at the end. Dizelmine has to be hands down the most pathetic antagonistic i've seen since Daryl in Guilty Crown.

To make matters worse his complete ****tyness rubbed off on Lan, who seemed only capable parroting "onii san" for the entire season. Well at least there is still the ova to look forward too hopefully someone subs that.
