| I cried. Asuma was so cool too :'( Guess sacrifice runs in the family... I hope Kurenai goes and takes revenge, successfully. Also, I have a feeling (for those complaining) that next week won't be much action either. Not that this would be out of the ordinary, for good ol' Naruto. |

| Waste of an episode. The manga moved me to tears when he died, however this just didn't cut it. If I remember correctly, Shikamaru was supposed to have taken Asuma's cigarette and smoked it himself, I found that to be very dramatic. Here he just spews more hate. I wish the series was as fluid and thought-out as their movies, it's the main storyline damnit, not a filler. |

| Wow, that episode took forever. I didn't shed a single tear. I just yawned due to it being drawn out so much waiting for more to happen. Should have known better. I can understand why they wouldn't show Shikumaru trying to smoke. Manga readers are supposedly mature grown-up like teenagers who can think for themselves and know that smoking's bad for you, but those that watch anime on TV are immature, young impressionable youths who don't know any better and would pick up smoking in a heartbeat if they saw it. What a load. I'm sure next week's will be drawn out too. |

| Well it was good to see Asuma's last words, and the reaction from all the former Team 10 members, but once again I feel like what could have been 5 minutes long was stretched out to 18-22 minutes. |

| I thought it was a good episode. In an important event like this I don't mind the pacing to be a little slow. Could cut down a little with some of the flashbacks but I found the episode to be very sad, and that was the point of the episode, no? |

| Honestly, I liked how this episode turned out. I mean, if it's Naruto, it has to be slow paced. It's better to spend time slowly on important events like this, than to drag out the fight even more than they already did. 4/5 |
