Chitanda is Sherlock Holmes, and Mayaka is Agatha Christie [still unsure if it's her, or one of her characters] All the words in the background are books/short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie And I'm guessing Mayaka was dressed up as Mabel West from the anime: "Agatha Christie no Meitantei Poirot to Marple" |

| This episode was actually pretty nice, I liked it. Lol that cooking contest actually pretty fun. Mayaka was great this episode, and oh yeah Chitanda was being a cute airhead as usual. Ehh all she has to do is do her Kininarimasu look with her sparkly eyes and I think she can get anyone to do anything. Even Irisu was sorta affected by it lol. That astronomy club girl was awesome, haha I love that look in her face while she was cooking. And oh yeah obviously Houtarou worked the hardest in the contest mhm. |

| I really think this is possibly the best Hyouka episode so far. The show is really at its best when it focuses on the characters and entertainment rather than the silly mysteries, which are really hit or miss. Hopefully the next episode keeps up to this kind of quality, I'd definitely love the show a lot more if that was the case. |

| I like the cooking competition. It's like a breath of fresh air compared to the standard scenes you see in every cultural festival in most anime. |
| I wish every cultural festival could be this amazing. I love seeing Oreki finally stepping out of his comfort zone. On a side note, where dem fat girls at? Is it impossible to be even slightly obese in this anime? |

| Haha! When Oreki swapped the gun for the cookies and random flour bag, I thought to myself 'Is this turning into an early Zelda game?' Turns out, pretty much yes! He did need that random bag of flour to comp,lete an unrelated quest! |
