PA Works and Kishida Mel must have a good relationship, since this is the 2nd anime they've worked on together (the first being Hanasaku Iroha)

Will watch because of PA Works. I hope the production quality will be better than that of Tari Tari.

No Mari Okada plz No Mari Okada plz no Mari Okada plz.

Otherwise, PA Works = watching. Though I do worry because this is yet ANOTHER slice of life by them. They getting pigeonholed like Kyoani now or something?

Well they tried something different with Another, and it bombed... so can you really blame them? People want slice of life and cute girls from them.

True, but I found Canaan decent (come at me bro Typemoon fans! :p) and I actually liked Another until it decided to derail in its final 2 eps. And the Professor Layton movie was plain decent family movie. The only thing I did not like by them was Angel Beats, which was a piece of turd that didn't know what it wanted to be. Guess the majority of the audience doesn't share that sentiment :(.

But it's still relatively ok with me since I loved True Tears (my avatar should make that obvious), Hanasaku Iroha despite it's problems was much better than your average "cute girls doing cute things" type of show and Tari Tari so far is great (credit to No Mari Okada derailing it to stupid bondage crap or omlette rice drama).

Though by far their best contribution was when they co-produced Seirei No Moribito with Production IG back in 2006...
Too bad the commercial viabilitiy of producing something like that in the current environment is close to 0%.

The synopsis sounds good and I'm digging the character design so why not?

I doubt that this will be a slice-of-life series since the premise hints more at fantasy.

>Izumiko Suzuhara is a 15-year old girl who has been raised at Tamakura Shrine, part of the Kumano Shrines World Heritage Site. She destroys any electrical device that she comes into contact with. Despite being shy, she wants to try living in the city. Her guardian Yukimasa Sagara recommends that she enrol at Hōjō High School in Tokyo

Code-E rip-off?

> accompanied by his son and Izumiko's childhood friend Miyuki Sagara.

Hey at least Miyuki isn't a Science nerd, just like Code-E.

> While in Tokyo, an entity named "Himegami" appears. Izumiko learns that she is a yorishiro, a vessel for a shinto spirit known as a kami, while Miyuki learns that he is a yamabushi, a warrior tasked with protecting her.

I'm ready to dismiss this as Hanasaku Iroha v3 (Tari Tari is Hanasaku Iroha v2, lol) but at least, this won't sound like a SoL.

> PA Works
> Kishida Mel

Hah. I doubt that PA Works can stay faithful with Kishida's designs, basing on what they did to Hanasaku Iroha.

LOLWOOT? They stayed quite true to them. Especially if comparing to what A-1 made with his Sora no Woto designs.

Another SoL Shoujo Romance series then. Nothing for me. Though those who enjoyed Hanasaku Iroha will feel right at home.

Well, the designs did not deviate that much but the Hanasaku Iroha anime didn't capture the appeal of Kishida's art. I haven't watched Kamisama no Memochou, so I can't compare how JC Staff did Kishida's designs.

Kishida Mel and P.A. Works? That’s pretty much enough for me to say I am watching it.
I think, then procrastinate.
Therefore, I am.
