| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- New OP finally aired. School Festival time. Interesting quizzes. lol @ info. guy's CMing the club as weird. The girl finally got back, and went out again. While that, the guy saw the photos of her cosplays. Things got stolen?? Not only Fortune Tarot card... More vocaloid cosplayers!! (Rin, Len, and Luka!!) Childhood girl vs. sempai about reading of manga and reviews. Cooking competition with two girls? She cannot find the manga that she promised the sempai in argument to show the next day. Festival continues. |

| I'm trying to decide which OP I like better, but they're both nice. Satoshi's Saturn costume is still adorkable. LOL @ Oreki looking at Chitanda's photographs! The end was hilarious. I'm really looking forward to the next episode. Hyouka really captures the mood of a school festival very well. I wish they held school festivals here ); |

| Great EP! And luv the new OP~ looks like some characters will be returning :D. There were so many funny moments, like omg the announcer's suspense - Tell me about it Fukube xD And Oreki's "Curious" moment, wouldn't blame him though =P I wonder whats he's gona do with that watergun? Looks like the next mystery will be starting soon just needs afew more pieces to the puzzle to peek Chitanda's interest. Guess next week we'll see how Fukube's cooking skills will handle and Mayaka showing that egotistic senpai whos boss >:D - Is it just me or did anyone else find Mayaka's room so nice =D |

| I think it's the first time I have laugh in a OP sequence. XD Oreki's blushing face is too cute. I love how eveyrone is giving things to Oreki. (btw, I really like the effort Kyoani put in animating the small details, I find the way the guy gave the gun to Oreki really cool!) I bet the mystery in the Kanya fest is the guy whole stole things. :O Question: What's a GO club? I can't wait for the next episode! |

| Excellent episode. Love the new OP! Oreki looking through Eru's photographs was hilarious, especially the final scene between them. I'm hoping for more hints of a romance over the remaining episodes, considering it's been rather heavily foreshadowed all this time. Mayaka's sub-plot is quite interesting as well. Next episode looks exciting. Hyouka portrays the school festival better than any I've seen before. All the various, minor touches in the background really sell the energetic atmosphere. |

 The new OP sounds great and so much Houtarou. Could have had more Satoshi in it though. Satoshi was amazing and happy in the whole episode ( I think Ibara and Satoshi had the better cosplay in the episode (sorry to those vocaloids). |

There have been many times I've torn the house apart looking for a specific book to show or lend to somebody. |

| I'm liking the well established atmosphere of the festival and also what seems to be subtle clues that are being left behind for the viewer to pick up upon. Anyway I'm hoping that the fact the hints are occurring at different places in the festival means that Oreki and co. will need to come together (unlike the film mystery) to solve it. I'm actually enjoying the show quite a bit more for these last few episodes. Very nice. |

Satoshi is hilarious, Mayaka is still meh.. I like the scenes with the other 3 characters but not so much her. She's not bad but definitely not as interesting, imo. |

That is because one of them was trolling to get a reaction out of the other. It was all a set-up between the club president and the Samurai Sempai, complete with a special sign to draw people in for the cat-fight. (I bet they had signs up around the building!) Wasabi said: I'd be pretty damn disappointed if they suddenly start turning this into a romance anime with these pairings. It has always been a romance, just with mystery as the wrapper. In the very first episode Oreki was head over heals for Eru, he is just avoiding it! (Episode 11.5 had some of the best development on that front yet. This was a great episode! I loved Satoshi advertising to sell copies of Hyouka and Myaka's argument, but especially Oreki checking out Eru's photos and her figuring it out and being too embarrassed to ask about it! :) |

| I couldn't help notice the obvious animation error with the "X" and "O" signs at the competition. At the beginning they are: X O Then as the girl tells the question: O X Finally asking if the question is true or false: X O Minor but very noticeable. Guess they'll fix that in the disc release. Hey, even Hontarou has to get a little excitement and Eru's cosplay photos did the trick. Eru is very cute with her reaction to Hontarou seeing her photos. |

| You know i wasn't looking forward to the dreaded "Festival Arc" that slice of life animes oh so love having very much....However, the way Hyouka is pulling it off....It astounds me, I'm actually enjoying the festival.....The way the MCs are reacting to the festival as a whole (mainly Chitanda and Satoshi) feels very natural. The festival environment just has a very real feel to it, and i think they did a great job in portraying that in the past two episodes, and i can't wait to see more. When Oreki first pulled out the pictures and put them down, i kinda had the feeling Chitanda would find out he looked at them =P, and i'm glad my hunch was correct. However i wish Oreki and Chitanda didn't have to cut it off there......I wanted to see more of that little convo they were about to have......Ah well, either way....I really hope we see moments like this grow in number. Between Chitanda and Oreki....I like that they're taking it slow, building their relationship pretty much from the ground up. I hope that by the end we'll see them end up together.....The studio in charge of Hyouka were also the ones involved with Clannad and a few other romance series.....So here's to hoping! |
