| If anime humor is "immature" then shows like Family Guy are in it's own cesspool of immature humor....Seriously it's annoying. Anyways, i find anime more humorous than the majority of the shows they show on United States broadcast. Although there are still a lot of good shows that air in the US. Futurama is probably my favorite in this category.....But there's not many that can meet my expectations of comedy from an American series, mostly because Family Guy has just destroyed the western toon genre for me. I end up being automatically cynical towards them usually. |
| I love immature humor. Whether it is anime or Southpark/Family Guy. So what if it is immature it makes me laugh like crazy. Good example is like that movie Step Brothers. A lot of people said it was stupid but it was really stupid funny. You really have to enjoy the stupidity of the humor to like it. Anime is different of course where the humor can range from a running gag like someone who has a terrible sense of direction or to just slapstick humor. I think that's what makes it great is that the humor in anime is so diverse and since essentially the impossible can become possible through animation it makes it even funnier. |

| I like some, some gets on my nerves. Seitokai Yakuindomo was pretty funny the whole way through, the potty humor rode the line of just barely not being tasteless so well I was impressed. The hardest I ever laughed at an anime was in Angel Beats at the 'replay' scenes in the classroom it just caught me off guard and i couldnt stop laughing lol |
