Oh and the ridiculous bait-and-switch second OP of this anime that hints at so many fantastically great things from visual novel, only to throw at us completely random bullshit. |

| This anime sure gets a lot of unneeded hate. I actually like it so far. To be honest, most adaptations these days aren't exactly like the original anyways. So it really isn't surprising that it isn't exactly following the entire original story. |

| Saber is the absolute antithesis of the "scantily clad anime heroine" troupe, which is refreshing (and especially ironic considering this was originally a hentai game) However her outfit has gone the opposite direction in terms of stupidity. fighting in a floor length hoop skirt= stupid sigh... my curiosity sparked by Fate/Zero is wearing thin compared to things that annoy me about this whole Fate series... we'll see how long I last. |

You were simply supposed to know the rules already since Zero is supposed to be seen last. Association is VERY strict with magic not being public and there are many ways to enforce that. |

| Still fair. But the lancer scene full of movement lines izn't a good omen for later fights. Of course, the hero and the mysterious girl are linked. 3.5+/5 Enter the heroin in a moment of crisis. It's already more than your typical shônen It's actually rapidly cumulating common shônen nekketsu traits: - the hero is an orphan, - he is quite naive/innocent, - he seemed "weak" and happens to own a special ability (the strongest servant), - there is a "tournament" between people sharing this kind of power, - there seems to be a powers hierarchy. |

| i particularly think lbw is a lot more entertaining than this series. not that it's a bad adaptation or anything, but something in the scenes and pacing catches my attention a lot more than here. i think the main reason i liked lbw better has to do with archer appearing a lot more there, since i really like him. but i really do want to know the differences between the two as this is supposed to be a different route from the visual novel. actually, pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is a visual novel? is it like an tome game? where your choices take you to different story routes or is it like a book? |

| Lancer is a bit of a dick here but who cares! Saber has appeared! I hope it gets better though, I feel like some parts are being skipped but as long as they don't skip parts involving Saber... I don't mind! |

| So I'll be powering through this for completionist sake, almost done with the VN so may as well. I must say, I LOOOOVVVEEE the first OP, every time the singer hits that note when Saber looks up I get chills. Soooo good. The ED is quite nice too. The actual animation is shoddy in parts. And I presume they skip over heaps of stuff considering how long the VN is compared to the anime. But will see. |

| For some reason i don't care for the kinda slow pace. it's enabling to the development being well made and enough depth. So in the end emiya were able to summon what rin didn't. wonder what she will think about it. i feel though that emiya is kinda "bound" to have caber, as she seems kind of related to the previous holy grail war, and emiya was the survivor. probably the winner? And while i'm enjoying it well, i hope the story will expand more on the holy grail war. |
