Hyouka Episode 12 Discussion

It was a nice experience. The mysteries were very thought-provoking and intriguing. I was waiting for more details about the old club, but it was good anyway. It has a great classic soundtrack and friendly characters.

Normally I don't like school festival episodes, but this one was okay, maybe it felt a bit more realistic than normally. Which of course means that nothing much happened.

After the fashion club member visit, you can hear the a cappella group singing Kyu Sakamoto's song "Ue o muite aruko" or Sukiyaki, as it is known in America. It's the only Japanese song to have topped the Billboard Hot 100, back in 1963.

The festival came in for this episode and a new OP for the second half of the series quite nice actually

Oreki's sister came back (as seen also in episode 11.5) the club is quite doing a handful of things and managed to sell a copy (I wonder if the pen holds any value considering Oreki just gave it away maybe It's just broken who knows) Eru keeps getting distracted by the lively festival (A Miku cameo in this episode too)

The photoshoot scene with Eru trying different outfits is too damn cute, We do have a new ED as well, nice I love the Eru x Ame ED.

It was a tedious episode.
Apparently Houtarou's plan of not having a lot of work worked out, but I think that will change in the next episode.

kinda just a hectic episode with not much interesting or progressive going on

Wait so what happened to the mystery in the last episode? And did no one apologize to Oreki for not being with him when he was frustrated?

And what about that email at the end of the episode? That was Oreki's sister most likely, but how did those two come to know each other? And now we suddenly see Oreki's sister at home for the first time like nothing happened, it was so confusing, lol.

I'm still kind of disappointed in Oreki's friends but last episode aside, this was an alright festival episode. Chitanda was funny, but I knew she wasn't the best person to negotiate. Satoshi's planet head and Oreki's reaction were the funniest scenes of this episode. Ibara's drama in her club was a bit random, but it seems like it's ok now.

Chitanda seems like very confusing this eps and I really love everything about it LMAO
