| These two are my all time favorite anime (not including Dragon Ball because of nostalgia hax). I slightly favor Gintama. The strongest point in each are their characters, which I slightly favor Gintama's. One Piece's fights and plot are more interesting to me,but Gintama's comedy is way better. I mainly like Gintama more, because it can get to me emotionally from a five minute story, while in One Piece it would take a whole arc to set up. |

But preferably OP before Gintama since after watching Gintama you might not be able to get back to OP (thats why i dropped OP at around episode 450 after watching Gintama) Chillax, Gintama is an episodic comedy, in general that is, if only you know and understand Gintama. Saying Gintama is not an episodic comedy anime proves that you don't understand it. I am a fan of both of them, you can watch through all of the One Piece available episodes/chapters in one go, but not the case for Gintama, it's better to watch Gintama slowly and not all in one go, that's only my opinion although it might be too late to reply |
