HAKOUKI!!!!!!! KEEP GOING STRONG! KAZAMA-SAMA! <3 <3 <3

Inu x Boku, YAYYYYYYYYYY! Now we know that this has good stable sales!

AKB0048, not bad.

And WHOAH Hyouka...:O Not even you are a ~10k seller? I SERIOUSLY fear for KuroBas now. D: D: uhuhu....

Not bad, but not good either, Natsuiro.

Asa made sold less than I thought it would.Tamayura, going well.Brave 10, ouch, Sengoku Collection sales went down.

... whatever, Japan. :(

I rarely feel this disappointed to see a show bomb... Tsuritama certainly deserves more. Sure, it's really pricey and the Amazon/Aniplex dispute probably didn't help the matter, but still...

Natsuiro looks good. If it can average 4k that'd be pretty great considering it's low budget.

After last week I'm not too surprised about Hyouka.

Tsuritama fans, those are only the DVD numbers. It's possible that Tsuritama sold a few thousand BDs (say 1.5-2k) so those aren't the final numbers for it.

I'm hoping that we'll get a second week for Saki Achiga-hen, but I'm not sure how much longer the full list will be on Thursday.

I don't think those numbers are great for a KyoAni show.....

Its sold like 11 volume with 2 episode per each (and expensive as fuck)
If the number keep in 7k-9k per volume in averages, its still good enough.

but isn't the first volume heavily discounted? :/ D:
So sales may decrease for the next volume by maybe ~1k?

No, but there is likely to be a drop as the later volumes come out because it happens to everything. So if Hyouka can get a solid second week (add another 2k or so) that'd be good for it.

Not even Hyouka reached 10k in its first week huh.
Is it me or Nyaruko's sales didn't change this week. I was sure it can add at least 1k more.
And Natsuiro sold a bit higher than I thought considering its QUALITY.
Jormungand's sales isn't bad but it isn't good either. And lol Zetman.
Despite being a stellar season, the sales for the ones that came out aren't really reflecting it that much :/
Let's see if AW and Kuroko will show a higher number. F/Z is a given so that doesn't count.

I think AW will sell less than Hyouka considering its rankings.

Kuroko is what I'm not sure about. It isn't like Nyaruko or Hyouka where it depends on a BD alone. It has even sales in both BDs and DVDs and rankings have been somewhat steady...still.....sigh I have to wait for another month before I know how well it does.

But seriously, it will be so funny if it beats both Hyouka and Nyaruko....a fujoshi show ruling again...lol.

Discounted first volume. It'll likely drop. Actually everything in the top 5 this season is a discounted first volume or includes am event ticket except Hyouka.

4200 yen MSRP for one episode is discounted? That's double the price of AKB0048.

And there are a huge amount of fans of Nisemonogatari and, well, you can see the sales.

I agree with the broader point that negative internet reaction, specifically English fandom internet reaction, has little to no correlation with sales though. The whiners on MAL or ANN or AnimeSuki bitching about shows they hate don't matter at all.

And something that sells well/has fans is not automatically good, whether you are in Japan or in downtown Hollywood, where best seller shit is produced everyday.

Most of the volumes of this are being purchased as part of the Gravure 4 U blu-ray + minigame bundles. Those are not counted by Oricon because they're solicited as PS3 games instead of BD home video releases. Count those and the series is actually averaging about 25k, which makes it the 24th or 25th best selling show from the year 2000 onwards, i.e. very very very good.
Wow did not know that.

That's extremely good to hear! Now they just need to make/announce a season 2 and/or make a Hibiki spin-off ;D
