from this episode and followed the series is really a bit dropping its quality, even the manga in this point isn't much of high level and in the anime they shortened a little bit of the story knowing the story isn't much like the first arc so they shortened it , even so really liked how they animate so the camera will go into the gun for the shot but like most of the comments in the topic it was pretty predictable, i mean stopping with "hot to use" in the middle who wouldn't know it's going to be alright? although it pretty epic and exciting treat.

wow, so much happens in this episode.. So much shift from previous episodes. So perplexing, how will it go from here.. when will Light become Kira again, or will he not? Who're those dudes at the end in a meeting over Kira :o

I miss Ryuk and 'Kira.'

The plot has taken the hardest left turn and I'm stumped on where it's going to go from here.

Oh god the forced comedy doesn't suit this anime at all!
It's going downhill and apparently it's true that the first part is better than the second part...

I just knoooow that Light had put in place a plan to enable him to get a death note again, but I'm just not sure what it could be. It is interesting seeing him act the way he did before the death note.

I liked the light-hearted comedy in this episode. Though I agree it doesn't suite the overall dark theme which has been there from the start.

probably most disappointing episode out of all.

that "misa's addiction to light" is kinda annoying.
tbh i didn't think that this anime needed any fanservice or romance involved.
unfortunately anime has to work like that.

and when did this anime need comedy. it's just way too forced. please.. dark anime needs to be dark.

that "test" was also disappointing. way too predictable.
i hope it won't get any worse than this.

After watching this episode, it really does amaze me how much the Death Note corrupted and exposed Light Yagami's psychotic mindset. He went from bathing in power to kill criminals for the sake of justice, to being just afraid and panicky without the Death Note. From a demon essentially to being lost like a puppy. The episode itself wasn't that interesting or thrilling, but it was meant to be like that given the loss of Light's attitude that helps make the show a lot more intense in the first place. I will say though some of the comedic bits definitely didn't fit Death Note, that's for sure.

The car act was pretty much predictable. Who is Rem making the new owner of the DN?? What's up with this company group? Was Rem doing this cause Light had tod him to do so before he lost his memories??

Rem has so much love for Misa, it's endearing.

Light lent his Death Note to someone else, or rather Misa/Rem's Death Note via Rem.

This episode was definitely one of the most intense thus far with Mr. Yagami and L's set-up.

I really liked how Light changed his tune about not wanting to use Misa after his Kira powers were gone.

I have to agree with Rem that humans are truly disgusting creatures.

Thie episode was a thrilling one. Really funny after in that scene after the execution. Light really turned into his good side. Loving his character more lol. L was still suspicious though.

They really did the split personalities so well in this. Light and Kira are two totally different people.

the writing is incredible and it leaves you with an intense feeling of dread and anxiety for the first half of the episode. After that, you are constantly screaming in frustration over the blatant unethical torture and deprivation of the three. This was the episode that made me go from "maybe light has some points, but killing his enemies is wrong" to "light did nothing wrong". Dont get me wrong, i sob violently over what happens in the end of this entire arc, but L was still

i'm angry and confused

Because Light will have given up the Death Note and lose all his memories of Shinigami, etc. just to become a person of good

I also wonder why Misa's Shinigami was at that Yotsuba company meeting, since it was Light's order to save Misa but I don't understand anything
I'm not a critic or anything like that but I like to give my opinion

L's plan to use Lights Father to manipulate them was genius.
If Light and Misa still had their memories/Death Notes, I'm very confident they'd try to kill off Father Yagami, and L's theory would be proven true, although that would have ended the anime quickly.
Despite not being grounded on concrete proof, L's reasoning is still correct as he's reading through the metaphysical lines/patterns. His observation of Light and Misa's shift in behaviour/personality is also crucial.
I think his choice to bind himself to Light is the correct call.

knowing in hindsight what's going to happen after Soichiro and L talk (and especially the silent scary reaction of the former) made the episode even more frightening and still make me remember the thrills from (*checks) early 2009 during the first watch. LOL, Misa calls Soichiro "dad" even in a supposed life or death sentence. And the fake execution moment, obviously, is still heavy to the hardest level.

Soichiro and Aizawa faces after Misa's antics were priceless. And it's not even over yet, Misa also goes into "i'M nOt ThE sEcOnD kIrA!" and sticks the tongue... until finally Aizawa loses it (understandable). Rem is playing her cards and the show can continue to the same high level.

Not the best episode, no way his dad would try to kill him after pleading his innocence previously. I hope L wins and Light gets caught

Wow. What. The. Fuck. Soichiro? Man was really pointing a gun in his son's face and saying he was gonna commit murder-suicide! I mean, I know it was just a ploy to find out if Light was Kira but holy shit!

And aw fuck! It looks like one of the Death Notes fell into the hands of some corporate fuckwads. Hope they die soon.

My favorite scene was L and Light knocking each other back and fourth.
