I looked through the pages to make sure these wasn't already a thread, but I didn't see it, if I overlooked it, I apologize. To keep it from needing separate threads I thought we'd have favorite guitarist, drummer, bassist, and vocals all in one thread.

My favorite drummer is Keith Moon hands down, and as far as guitarist it's hard to say, I really like a lot of them. Some favorites besides obvious answers such as (Hendrix, Slash, and any other legends) would be Synyster Gates (A7X), George Thorogood, Peter Frampton, etc.

For Bassist it would be Billy Sheehan from Mr. Big, and Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Vocalist: Tetsuya Fukugawa (Envy); runner up: Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, etc)
Guitarist: Kotaro Oshio
Drummer: Atsu of Boris I guess. Brian Chippendale (Lightning Bolt) is pretty insane but he's a god damn idiot.
Bassist: Takeshi of Boris.

A couple months ago, I probably would have had a pretty big list of favorites, but I guess I don't really think about that shit much anymore.

Guitarists are all I care about really.

Jimmy Page (duh), Synyster Gates, Slash, Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, David Gilmour, and this guy who inspired me to pick up guitar.

The one bassist I do like is Flea from Chili Peppers

I'm too selfish to pick one and I've probably missed quite a few out. Yeah, spoiler'd up to hide images.

Mothafuckin' James Blackshaw, bitches..

Probably my favorite current guitarist. Amazing what beautiful music he can coax out of the instrument. Other live clips can of course be found on ye olde youtube. I'll post more later..

edit: Changed the video to a tv performance of "River of Heaven".

When it comes to drummers and bassists, the rhythm section of Can (Holger Czukay on bass, Jaki Liebezeit on drums) is hard to beat:

Love this guy's videos, btw. He recorded himself dancing every day for a year. It ended in May but they're all still up on youtube. Good taste in music and sweet dance moves. Check it out.

One current drummer that stands out for me is Kid Millions from the awesome Oneida:

That's the style of drumming/bass playing I like best, where it just locks into a groove and stays there for a while. The guy's got some serious skills (and stamina).

Robert Plant, Zach de la Rocha, Jim Morrison, and Syd Barret.

Joe Satriani (inspired me to take up guitar), Tom Morello, and Pete Townshend.

Billy Sheehan and Sid Vicious (He was just as good as Matlock).

John Bonham hands down (Listen to Moby Dick and tell me it is not awesome.)

Vocals: Mikael Åkerfeldt / Daniel Gildenlöw (also Jon Anderson, James LaBrie, ++)
Guitar: Andrew Latimer / John Petrucci (also LOTS)
Bass: Tony Choy / John Myung
Drums: Tomás Corn / Martin Lopez

probably didn't cover enough ground, but oh well.
