| The first Death Note opening...maybe it's because I'm watching it again so it's refreshed my memory of how awful it is. I just don't like it when Japanese songs have a singer with a voice that sounds kind of wobbly? I don't know how you describe it, but a lot of Japanese songs have that same sound. It sounds so shit and makes me cringe. |

| I remember not liking the first 2 openings of Fullmetal Alchemist, 2003 Highschool DxD, it's just... eh. I like the ending waaaaaay better. Can't think of openings I hated, just openings that were extremely forgettable. |

The real reason is because they air too many commercials, which take up the time that would otherwise be used for openings/endings in Japan (they have shorter commercials and less frequent). That's why when they showed anime like Inuyasha and Full Metal Alchemist, they'd either cut the opening out, or cut the ending out, or shorten it greatly. Particularly with Inuyasha, they usually only played the Japanese ending song, and entirely cut out the opening songs. (but luckily, I liked the ending songs a lot more for Inuyasha) I noticed the AOT opening is very shortened as well. |
