| The author is pregnant, I checked both her and the illustrator's tweets and I found no news about when they are going to continue, the illustrator recently replied to a fan that Kataoka is pregnant, so I assume she hasn't delivered the baby yet, it will probably take another couple of months before they continue working on Deadman Wonderland. |

| Starting to wonder if this will really get continued.. I saw someone say the author is the one pregnant, but I don't know how that really prevents them from doing their job for this long.. Unless they have some serious complications going on with the pregnancy. I'll admit I'm not sure how that all works, since obviously I'm not female, but still. I've female freinds/sister who didn't take such long leaves unless severe complications/near birth date. |

| Aggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggh. I'm dying to read the end of this! It's my favorite manga of all time. D: Also I dunno... I'll probably get a lot of flack for this, but I hate when people use pregnancy as an excuse. I'm a female and I still think it's not really a good reason to stop doing your job. She's pregnant, her hands didn't fall off, lol. You can still easily work on something like this while pregnant. After having the baby is another story, since newborns require a lot of care, but to say she can't write just because there's a baby in her uterus seems like an excuse to me. I will always stand by the fact that women had to do a hell of a lot more in the past and they ended up just fine. -They also weren't as phobic of stupid things like certain kinds of food (sushi for example is huge in the US... women in Japan have been having babies all along, right? Hmmmm....) That being said, she might just want to take a break or have writer's block. It's just sort of strange that it's soooo late in the manga (as it was almost finished!). Either of those things are acceptable excuses for not being able to continue your work. Sorry for the rant, but the pregnancy fragility thing has always been a hot button for me. |

| The anime made me want to read the manga and so I did, only to find out its on a indefinte pause which made me go emo... For that there are other anime/manga that help.. For the people that say shes taking too long or whatnot, consider that she lives in Japan where pregnacy is treated differently compared to the US or whatever. I'm pretty sure she will continue with this project!!! Lets see which one of us will get hes/her dreams fulfiled |

| Some of you apparently don't realize that Kataoka's job needs her to be creative, a woman's hormonal balance is messed up during pregnancy and even after delivering the baby, how the fuck do you expect her to focus on writing?! Also, we are nearing the conclusion, no one wants a fucking badly written ending and she can't possibly deliver that right now. |

| ok ok, guys. Stop with the fighting. Who cares, some people don't understand why the Mangaka can't continue when it seems like something that shouldn't affect her writing. Others think that it can affect her writing. And others just want to see the completed 'Deadman Wonderland' when its so close to its GREAT ending! No more fighting, okay? |
| I agree this is a futile discussion with no answers behind it, only the mangaka truly knows why she is taking a leave of absence. Personally I respect her decision. |

| Good thing I went here and there before starting reading this manga :/ Hunter X Hunter's infamous numerous hiatuses killed my love for that manga >< And seeing that Deadman Wonderland has some similarities with Mirai Nikki, but its anime adaptation is not so good (seems like Claymore/Gantz in a sense, as the manga is ongoing that seems logical) Anyway, off to read Hoshi no Samidare then =p Let's hope this author will "deliver" soon ^^ |

| It takes 9 months usually for the baby to be born. Its been 5 months or so. Even after the baby is born they're probably not going to start right off the bat. Sad face :( |

| Well, the last chapter's translation came out in January... so the baby should be born already. Now I think she may have a couple of months because the baby is... well, a baby and all that. And for God's sake, I know it must be really hot to bang the writer of Deadman Wonderland, but please don't do it again! xD |
