Lain.

~monogatari.

I'm going to have to say I prefer those in Lain, Team Shinbo's are rather stylish but they don't quite have the emotional impact on me as those by Nakamura.

If you select the other option please post pictures, in fact more pictures of the aforementioned power lines couldn't hurt.

I'm gonna go with Lain as well.
Not only are they more stylish(imo), they have more of an impact in relation to some of the main themes of the anime, unlike ~monogatari's ones, which are just there for show.

From purely aesthetic perspective, power lines in Lain look messy, crisscrossed.
Those in The Place Promised in Our Early Days (?) have the most detail, my favourites so far.

What an odd poll haha! Monogatari reduces me to fanboy status but damn for me this is no contest Lain has teh sexeh power lines for sure. Not to mention Lain power lines have sound effects, and add a deeper meaning and a lot of flavor to the story.

Aesthetically Monogatari has teh very kewl linez as well. (don't ask me why I'm typing like a 12 year old hacker today)
We can't stop here, this is bat country.

Who could forget steins gate's powerlines (don't have a pic)
Monogatari's ghostly white powerlines are damn fine though.

Lain! Whole episodes seemed to consist of Lain walking really really slowly down a street with insert shots of power lines, and in the awesome way.

Utena deserves some props too, that had some lovely street light/power line combos going on it's final third. Somehow it made a gearstick, a topless man and power lines symbolic genius. Can't find a pic easily though.

You know, before I actually went into this post I was thinking that KeiraShikari should know better than to make another redundant "vs." thread. Then I read the contents and....well played.

Lain. It's just not the same without the constant humming noise.

But being messy and jumbled was part of the aesthetic value of Lain's power lines. It was like the art was trying to give you a hint at how messed up that world is.
