THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I was awaiting this episode with anticipation since last night. I have imagined every possible ways of it being amazing. I was more than satisfied of the outcome now that I have seen it. First of all Cyan Pile is way better done than I anticipated. The movements and attacks he does are so much more richer and exciting. They are also more impaction due to the SFX. The emotional drama of Cyan’s dilemma surrounding Chiyu and Haruyuki was much more felt. In fact I find myself being more pitiful towards Cyan. Therefor the drama was incredible. About Haruyuki’s wings, following there is the following, FLY BOY! OH YEAH! FLY BOY! FLY! It was essentially the most exciting part for me along with the other ones in the spoiler About Haruyuki’s hit on Cyan, resuming it in the spoiler About the beginning, it was mostly disastrous until Haruyuki gets his wings. It does start with a rather impressive pose of Haruyuki in his combat avatar. While they did a nice impact with Cyan’s feet then being much larger than ones of Silver Crow and the expression of Haruyuki’s face. Cyan’s design in the spoiler About continuation of fight, as it continues Cyan in the spoiler Most emotional part for me in this episode I figured I should give a special centered title to this part because it really did affect 2nd to the last part of the confession. Suffice to say I TT_TT so hard it’s amazing but it was more of joy later on. It was like a crying shift of despair answered by Trumpets from heavens. Indeed. I guess I will tackle it easily in 3 points: A) The display of Hime in the spoiler B) Haruyuki’s holding Hime’s face with his hand and hugging in the spoiler C) Finally the looking and crying of Haruyki in the spoiler That all being said the scene was really the most impaction among the following others due to Haruyuki getting his will power to fight there despite being crippled. About the appearance of Hime, why OMG she is awake and well was the first impression but more how that hug of Hime in the spoiler About Hime’s True Avatar, why when she appeared in the spoiler About the aftermath, at the end of a long dangerous fight just the following, Made me kyaaaaaaaaaaaaa for Hime! She is alive and well in the spoiler The manga is nothing compared to how amazing this episode was and so the preview only tells of Haruyuki getting in some shit with Cyan. Well it’s more slice of life a little to cool down things for the next upcoming Arc/Fight. PS: @all who post after me. I don’t know if I will have time to do praise posts like that of this series for I truly do feel like that. But episodes 4 and 5 should more than convince you of staying with this series for its drama, SFX and emotions along with the visuals. That is compared to the manga if you read it. That being said I think this series may very well rival Index perhaps at a lower age value but it can still rival it. If Index is a 16+ series then Accel World is a notch lower with 13+ rating is how I see it. I really wish to write a lot like this but alas time permits it not. BTW I did some GIFs cause something pissed me off in doing in this episode graphically so here is my alternative of it: http://ecchiking99.blogspot.ca/2012/05/accel-world-episode-5-gifs.html That’s all. |

Boyfriend is jealous of Haruyuki for girlfriend to care for him more. Haruyuki is losing. He want s Haruyuki to be out from the pair's sight. Still few left until losing, and he fell to where Kuroyukihime's sleeping. He was despaired, but remembered what she said, and grew wing so that he can fly. He became the first burst linker to be unlimited. Now Boyfriend is losing, but Haru kept him to be in the team. Kuroyukihime woke up. Showing of real her. She let Haru carry her and fly while she announced her dream. No ED, and Kuroyukihime is with twin braids. Since he saw her student booklet, she wants him to say her real name, but he just blinked it and doesn't know it. Probably revealed next ep.? New megane girl appearing next ep. (the one who appeared in OP) |

Awesome episode. Silver Crow's wings plus Kuroyuki's true Duel Avatar. That Tin Man with the glasses was Kawahara Reki, the author, right? He really needs to practice delivering his lines. Great stuff. Kuroyuki looks nice in that hairstyle. Next week seems to be some of the crew from the Blue Legion. Bet it has something to do with Taku's. inb4 why did they leave out Kuroyuki's name. It was intentional. inb4 the preview is different from the manga. The source is an LN. |

The best moment of the episode without doubt when Silver Crow got his wings!! Was pretty damn cool. Then after a good fight Haru and Taku fix part of their difference that its nice since Taku i most say its pretty cool. Hime cured also makes my hearth happy!!! Her true form was AWESOME!!! Awesome episode; liked seeing Kuroyukihime back so soon, thought it would have taken longer; shame we didn't get hear her name; kinda reminded me of how we never heard CC name either Thought Taku deserved way more punishment than that, but well wateves its not like he put Kuroyukihime in the hospital so i guess it turned out ok :D at Kuroyukihime's face when she saw that Haru saw her little book Next episode it seems like people are going to start coming after them due to Black Lotus's announcement |

Cool fight and I kinda get Taku's jealousy but... LOL at their self depreciation. - I'm pathetic - I'm more pathetic - I'm more pathetic + 1 - I'm more pathetic + ∞ At least they ARE indeed equals... BTW, of course Haru would always win in games, he uses hidden cheats. raxius1230 said: Well, her form probably reminds her of the defect it represents, maybe that's all she sees since she's very self-aware.Hime cured also makes my hearth happy!!! Dem wings... One phrase came to my mind... "Bitch, I am fabulous." Ahahaha. That is some mad fighting skills there Haruyuki. And that form of Kuroyukihime's Black Lotus is very good. Just what I am expecting. So they are the team Nega- Nebulous? Why did they leave her name at a cliffhanger? Argh. |

Finally we get an actual good character design. Takumu was pretty stunning and really I was rather impressed by him the entire episode. The sheer emotional tension driving him and Haruyuki then the lead in to Haruyuki doing the amazing. Then to most importantly getting Takumu on his side and restoring the bonds of a broken friendship. I was pretty glad. I think they handled it quite well and with Takumu actually having all of the character traits that are lacking in Haruyuki, I think I can really actually enjoy this anime to the fullest now. Takumu's english was great and best combat avy. On the ending stuff how in the world did Kuroyukihime get the best of the duel avatars. Wow, apart from no wings it is stunning. I wish we got models as that Black Lotus and Silver Crow would be the ones that I wouldnt mind trying to pick up. I cant wait to see her special move. |

Eh I didn't really get the emotional side they were trying to pull. Taku barely showed up at all in the previous episodes so it's nice for him to actually get a character but I feel if he was developed a bit better before the fight it would have had a greater impact. |

Man this episode was so good. Of course they had to end it right before we find out Kuroyukihime's name. Amazing fight, I was yelling at Haru to just stop being a bitch and kick some ass and he finally did! We also got to see Kuroyukihime's true avatar, and it is badass. I'd be proud of that avatar, shit is intimitidating! Another week for the next episode is just too cruel. Also, so glad Kuroyukihime recovered so quickly. I thought they were gonna draw that shit out for like 5+ episodes before she woke up. Nope, it took one episode. Accel World, this is why I love you. |

I like how Haru dodged Taku's final attack at the last moment instead of meeting it head on, since that is way too cliched xD Loving the wings~ Also, I think Taku's emotional reaction is justified since it's mainly a conflict amongst Chiyu, Taku, and Haru. We can see that Taku notices Chiyu may actually like Haru better and he is bitter about that. Evidence: Chiyu direct linking with Haru without any objection. He doesn't understand why Chiyu loves Haru when he, himself is so much of a better choice. Now that Haru is a Burst Linker, Taku's final trump card I guess might be considered obsolete. But in the end, they manage to settle their differences and actually communicate their true feelings. Wahooo |

I'm really dissapointed. Inb4 all the fan boys start to bash me this isn't the absolute truth for everyone. I really hoped this shounen would take another route than the basic -> Have a serious fight with a friend who has "gone bad" -> Get your ass kicked and your friend shows off some flashy moves -> As expected you barely survive from a finishing move -> Fall into self despair, pity yourself while convincing yourself that you have no chance of winning and you are useless -> Remember something important you were told, along the lines of: You can do you whatever you want if you just try. "You should give yourself more credit", " You can do it", "You are strong, you just have to realise it by yourself" etc etc. (those clichè lines) -> Remembering this restores your will to fight -> Obtain super sayan-like powers or something extraordinary which has never been seen before -> IT'S OVER NINETHOUSAND ??!?!??!?!?!?! -> Come back with a full force attack while your opponet is showing off ->Suprisingly opponet is left with barely enough life to keep talking ->As expected you don't finish him off but you start talking -> Now you start "converting" him back to the "good side" -> Your friend who went bad is crying and whining about various things such as saying he can't because of XX ->Convince him with some stupid ideals or clichè lines ->Your friend agrees with tears in his eyes. ->Forever bro's You just went from zero to hero This is the basic fighting scene in shounen where your friend is your enemy. I really don't like it and it makes me want to puke and hide myself in embaressment which I feel on their behalf. I liked the show alot until now with one exeption. Why the protagonist has to be too small and fat? They could have made him "more realistic" and made him normal looking guy who has huge problems with his self confidence. If you can't agree with me, it's fine but I can't bring myself to like scenes like that where they spit embaressing and illogical, clichè and overly used lines which are aimed for kiddies. Yes I used to think that dragonball quotes were so cool back when I was 12 but thats different now. It sure is made for age of 13+ but still I don't understand why nobody can't invent any better sounding and logical lines in those kind of scenes. Even I could think of better ones than that. You really can't get something old, bad and overused lines sound any good. Hater's will hate but you can't disagree that it has alot of truth in it. No matter how fan boy or shounen "freak" you are. Reply me with consctructive posts. It doesn't help me to understand your point, or convince me to believe your side of truth if you post something along the lines like: Don't watch it if you don't like it. This is why the world is so rotten. Beign a man and working as doctor, laywer or in any other well paying insdustry such as idol, musician or sport star you are prioritized by other people in social activities. Especially women are more interested in these kind of facts such as "beign cool" or "beign famous" than personality differences and normal handsome looks. I guess the whole thing is a instict that originates from animals and their ideal of "Having or beign the leading male is most important thing in life after surviving." Anyways this is just off topic and I know you didn't mean that you actually think this way, but apparently Taku does. Thats why he can't understand it. This same thing happens alot in various different movies, anime and TV shows. Not exacly the same way but very similar to this one. |

It just creates less realistic situation which I, and probably majority of people couldn't so easily to relate with unlike having the "normal guy". This is just an assumption and it is based on my own experience though. Another reason is that they over did it. He is more like a midget than small. I assume you feel different about it. |

"How you can't like the fighting scenes? They are good and well made, plus they don't say the same stuff everytime!!11" Why can't he be fat and small? Haru being fat and small is what makes this show different from others. People who can't see or appreciate that are superficial. Here jogiin goes on and says "same old generic shounen action" and yet wants the main character to be all supersaiyan. It never seemed like jogiin watches shounen anime and manga anyways and talks big and thinking he knows every single thing about "generic shounen". Facepalm bro Facepalm..... |

So you are seriously claiming that the size or the psychical figure of the protagonist makes it different from "generic shounen". Let me enlighten you, It does not plus I was only talking about the fight, I never even talked about the whole show Do I dare to ask you where did you find the sentence where I said that I wan't to him look or be like a super sayan or anything near that? No you can't find it any where because I never asked for it. Read it again and more carefully this time. You never actually did post any constructive material and did exacly the opposite I asked for. Started bashing. I asked for constructive comments and normal discussion not some random people shouting "You don't like the anime I like, go to hell!". I still enjoy the show which I though I would love until the end, but that isn't the case if fights and stuff like this keep happening. It's not like your insulting is getting you any points which can be spend for penis enlargement |

Putting words in my mouth and insulting me, afterwards leaving the argument saying "I don't bother with people like you" is childish and stupid behavior. Yes I did phrase my original post a bit in a provoking way but I found that style a fitting way to say it. Acting like that and assuming your words are the absolute truth without explaining yourself even a small bit, let alone explaining your point. Is the same way hardcore religious people answer when you give them proof of evolution. |

Not exacly the same way but very similar to this one. xD I agree actually since isn't that how Haru manages convince Taku he's wrong? Or at least misled in some way. Merh. |

I understood it as something like that. But I was still hiding from embaressment while watching the clichè so I'm not 100% sure about it. EDIT: I still guess the beating Haru gave him was the most convincing thing he "said" :P |

Ignoring is sometimes good some stuff that irritates us. This is completely my personal opinion but if I would make an anime I just couldn't bring myself to copy someone else. Same goes with music or "signature lines" I tend to say in real life. I don't know about you or other people but I just simply couldn't do it. Yea I know anime is made to get profits but isn't it the originaly and new ideas that break the bank and get to be the target of the copy cats? Not only in anime but everything in general. |
