Probably very dumb question, but i couldn't resist :) Who has the most anime (also manga) added to his/her profile? I tried to search but:

The search feature is currently offline for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Without the search function enabled, you could fairly say it's impossible for a regular user to find out. Maybe you should ask Xinil to run a database query but i have the idea he has better things to do.

I wouldn't pay much attention to that. All of the top of each category are liars.

Because they just add up the rewatch value.
Some of them exceeds the life span of humans.

Hmm, let's check: "Top 10 Users with Completed Anime Series"

#1: AznSensation

Some1 asked him (in his profile):
"o_O I'm impressed by the amount of anime you've watched, especiall since you're only 20. "

Answer:" its really nothing since i've watched anime since 1992 growin up in korea."

Now this seems totaly plausible to me, since 1: The guy is korean, 2: He started back in 1992.
And I shit you not, that's alot of anime time for a super otaku. (16 years)

Only the life span of a two year old- AznSensation's list is 760 days long. I must admit though, that amount of anime is frickin' crazy (crazier still is that out of 2500+ anime, he's only rated 7 of them below a 7- they can't all be that good).

Remember that internet wasnt avaible to normal persons before 2002-ish. Remembering all the anime titles (korean -> japan) in almost 10 years is very impressive.

Huh? I guess I'm not a normal person, then. We (my family) have had internet access (dial-up) at home since sometime in the mid-late nineties. Granted, it was slow and made awful noises when connecting, and there wasn't Google, or Wikipedia, or Youtube, or MAL, or most of the other things we now take for granted on the net, and it would have been hard to download videos. But it was there.

I read 'normal people' as 'not the military/government'. But if you meant 'not computer nerds' or 'not willing/able to spend much money on it' then you're a lot closer to the mark. Or if you mean fast access, or not dial-up.

You are right, however, about remembering all that stuff. Wow. I'm still unable to remember some of the things I've watched, or to determine how many episodes I saw.

Well I had heard that anime had really taken off in the West, but wasn't really so hot among Asians.
Then again these are the same people who told me that Japan is more racist than anywhere else right now.

Its not really that asians hate anime but i think that every culture looks down on people who watch anime or "too much anime". A few bad people here and there and the entier community gets a lable.

Right here in the United States it seems to be pretty acceptable.

I can't imagine the looking down upon black metal fans get.
Oh wait, nobody knows about us. But when they do...oh god.
That won't be pretty.

Most of my friends in high school were into some animation of some kind whether it be the Simpsons or Dragonball Z or whatever.
