| Let me just start by saying that Hajime no Ippo is one of the best shonen series ever made. I also thought that the anime ended really well, and have no idea how the manga is. So, if this turns out to be a close adaption, is it worth looking forward to? If it is, this is looking more exciting than a remake of FMA. |

| I didnt think that they would come out with another season, which really was disappointing, but then all of a sudden, "KABLAAM, Hajime No Ippo Season TWO!" this is a GREAT series to watch! One of my favorites! |

| This is perfect timing. I started watching Hajime no Ippo earlier and got to ep 20 and I fell in love with it, looking forward to the next 56, in this series, but I'm also looking forward to a second season! And geez guys, please remember not all of us read the manga and this is about the season 2 of the anime, so make the spoilers a minimum :P. |
| Come on guys this is an anime thread. Please use spoiler tags, it is a pretty simple request. Why is there so much great plot ruined in posts on MAL. These are pretty minor, but still, it is not a complicated task to use spoiler tags. Anyways, amazing news. Love the anime. I read too much other literature to get obsessed with manga. Not everybody has the time to devote to endless hours of reading Japanese comic books. I prefer animation any day anyways. It is neostorytelling. I do not get why FMA did not learn from Hajime no Ippo and follow true to the story and leave off right after an arc or climax. Now they have to start from the beginning. But Hajime no Ippo certainly does not, it is going to be some awesome HD action. Any naysayers to the greatness of HD have never compared HD and SD quality simultaneously. Makunouchi in HD should be ridiculous. I am sure he will be bigger than ever. I am also looking forward to whatever crazy |

| I think it will have 7X episodes, if not more. Look how long the manga is running and the number of chapters... I mean, there's a fucking "sea" of material to work with, so I I'll watch this anime as it progresses with the following years to come. Just have to finish the first one first along with the movies, I still have time to do this. |
