For such a long-running and typical shounen series HxH is so awesome. I can't wait to see the next episode. Also the whole Nen thing is really well thought out.

Still loving the hell out of the new ending;)

And my old question came back: how can Hisoka fight in heels. It can't be comfortable in the least, especially considering he's rather tall (187cm + 5-7cm heels).

Looking forward to actual nen-fights now)

Killua: "let's go!"
Gon: "I don't wanna go any further"

I love how they make Killua feel like the leading character who calls the shot with Gon being the one backing out. Not the typical ballsy character who would overcome the aura and make it to the reception desk.

Hunter x Hunter keeps getting better and is starting to nail the right feeling. I loved this arc in the manga and the anime is doing a great job with it.

Ya right?
After seeing this episode I went back to the original to see if anything was missing, the weird part is they put exactly the same events in the episode but these episodes feel shorter for some reason.
For example the 'elevator girl' is missing from the new series, but I dont know what they substituted instead, also some good lines by kirua and hisoka are left out.

Nothing was left out from the manga. The old anime just kept adding fillers.

The Nen Ren stuff was confusing but looked cool when Master Wing did it, especially with the paper. Cant wait to see how epic it makes Killua whenever he learns it.

On the preview

Surprise how far they managed to go within around 10 minutes. 200 floors (elevator) + distance between the tower and Wing's house.

The beginning of Nen was a bit boring in the manga but the art direction of HxH 2011 made it better. Great episode.

Although I already know what is going to happen (having watched the 1999 version and read the manga) this new version manages to make me dance on my seat due to sheer excitement. I especially love how it's fast pace and vivid dynamics make it feel very lively whereas -- I don't really like comparing but sometimes it can't be helped -- both the older version and the manga felt a little slow and even boring while covering the Nen arc.

Having said that, I adore how deliciously creepy Hisoka looked on this episode. Can't wait to see how the future episodes will be managed! Also I kind of miss Kurapika and Leorio already :(

They needed eleven minutes form the 200th floor to the house of that Wing guy. Not bad ...

But all in all another great episode. ^^

I had forgotten how Nen is confusing. Even so, it is an amazing concept, I like how it's worked throghout the series.

As for the episode itself, it was awesome.

Yep just like the manga and it makes sense.
Illumi used nen against Killua and Killua wants to be
able to fight back. If Killua gives up then Illumi wins.

Well see that's the thing, despite it's overall awesomeness the manga is somewhat lacking and those fillers added in by the original anime made the story better and more exciting.

I just re-watched the original -for the 3rd time- and this part felt way more tense there than it did here.
Yes, I already know what's going to happen but there's just something missing, as moonealive said; it feels too short.

Me too. Watched this when I was still in High School and I always thought shounen can't excite me this much anymore.

Funny that I'm watching this during finals. Now Gon and Killua have 3 hours to cram everything they can about Nen or they'll be held back.

Great episode, they finally reach nen. Yeay. Things will be very interesting from now on.
This episode seems short. Phew.
No elevator girl ? Well, that's too bad

Looking forward to the next episode

Pretty sure they're just in Wing's room that's also in the tower since he's helping one of the Heaven's Arena participants. x)

Nice episode. Hisoka's music kinda took away some of the scary atmosphere from the scene. But still a pretty awesome episode.

I do miss Kurapika and Leorio, even though this arc is one of my faves.

Nope. If you go through the episode again, after Hisoka's appearance you see the house where Wing resides. Pretty sure no room for Wing in the tower as he doesn't seem to be participating in any fight.

Quite happy with how they handled Nen in this version, it felt nowhere near as dull as I remember. Looking forward to the rest.

Hisoka is always badass!! XD He's one of the best antagonists ever!!!

By the way, it's funny that it's an action manga but in 28 episodes it didn't have a real fight yet! XD
