| Shinn and Luna were the only good things to come about in this sequel everything else was just below average and I hate how they made Shinn an antagonist halfway through the series. He never had a real chance to develop cause the last half or most of the series was about Kira and his "Stop fighting" speeches and OPing everything on the battlefield while Athrun was switching sides every 5 seconds. >_> He would have developed if him and Minerva were the protagonists the entire time. Destiny should have been similar to Zeta where the main characters from the previous series take supporting roles while the new characters had the spotlight. Sadly this didn't happen. |

The author did a splendid job in creating an antagonist that is easy to hate (examples of antagonist that isn't easy to hate = The Millenium Earl - D.Gray-Man ) Yeah, Shinn is just a piece of shit . Cagalli's father was in no way wrong about his decision to stay neutral. Yes, he has every right to be angry, but the reason we all hate him is because his anger is pointed in the wrong directon. He's nothing but a baby. The characters in general were the worst part of this show. They ruined Cagalli completely. And nice originality creating 3 teenagers who steal mobile suits and are crazy. That's all this show seems capable of doing. (Also, I disliked the first one as well because of the Kira-Athrun relationship throughout, plus all the other sentimental bullshit and characters) |

| I don't think Shinn Asuka's an idiot. I think Mitsuo Fukuda's an idiot for thinking he can "Star Wars Episode -2~0" the Seed series. I think his husband Chiaki is an idiot for not knowing how to storyboard that animu properly. I think everyone over at $unrise / Bancolding$ are idiots for letting the Seed cast overshadow the Destiny cast. Actually; I think everyone over at $unrise / Bancolding$ are a bunch of retards for these reasons: * The violent "slaughter-for-lulz" of the Akane+Kazuya shipping during Mai-Otome. * The belief that they can sell shounen-hating animu (like Galaxy Angel Lune) to the US; sub-only, and for a high price. * The unwillingness to compromise with the budget-conscious anime buyer (like FUNi and Sentai did). Instead; vouching to pull out from the US-based animu-promoting industry as a whole. And, as a special inclusion to my gripe: * The character destruction of Jin Kazama of the Tekken series. (Hell. The live-action Tekken movie was WAY better than any of this.) |

| Hell no, you're not the only one. Shinn is a goddamn moron and the worst protagonist in the franchise. He can't even pilot his signature Destiny Gundam correctly given how incorrectly he uses the Palma Fiocinas (the things used to go all Domon Kasshu God Finger with) and how he is dumb enough to blame his government for what amounted to collateral damage. He's also a co Plate asshole to everyone who isn't Stella, and he can't even do anything right outside of killing looks and that one time he helped Stella. The whole "imma stay with Durandal because I'm conflicted but whatever I hate Kira or something" is dumb. Hell, that alone shows that he can't even provide himself with a legitimate reason for why he stays with Durandal when he knows that he is the bad guy here, which promptly kicks him from his protagonist seat like an idiot. |

| As Shin was the worst thing about GSD, Kira Jesus freaking Yamato was the best thing that saved this shows ass that gave it an avg reason for existing, and Strike Freedom is badass! Shin's just an angst teen thats confused about every godamn thing thinking about him and only himself, if you ever want to catch a horrible SOB of a main character then I recommend Shin, this bitch is full of crap. |
