THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Episode introduced nice new character like in the following, ![]() oh whom I ROFL at her reaction to Jonah. Moreover I realized that if an Arms-dealer can come to you in a fight to supply you with anti-weapons then they are amazing. Even risking their lives for $$$$ while benefiting you a win. Hmmmmmmm, really cool though and concept IMO. It ends with the following, ![]() What does it mean…..quite simply that the missiles that Koko sold as arms dealer are in fact long range Anti-Air. What does it mean? Simply that the enemy could not use air power and not supply properly it troops thus retreating. The enemy could not reconnaissance by air either. I do think this was a reference to the problem with those Russian rebels at one point IRL History. For the most of us we may have read it or heard in the news. Sadly the rebels lost badly while in here they won nicely. Nice episode in general. About the preview, first of all I am expecting most of all the following parts in the spoiler ![]() ![]() Jonah jumping from a window looks good and he wearing summer clothing so it must be a warm country again. A Riot shield going to be used here? Well all this sounds promising other than Her name is Koko, she is Loco, I said it Oh no! Stuff, which is always cool. BTW: Image Stitches are done and GIFs in my new BLOG (NSFW): http://ecchiking99.blogspot.ca/2012/04/jormungand-episode-2-discussion.html I love my BLOG. It’s nice. That "ooooooooh" was funny. Also.........love Myld, but obviously Valmet > Myld. With all the dancing Koko does, it's safe to assume that she clearly is loco. The music in the last scene....I'm not sure if I hate or love this series' OST ._. Conflicting emotions. Next episode is Chinatsu!!! Along with Valmet & Koko "date"! Haha! Woo!!! Going to be massively action packed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Koko! >:| You be lucky. ![]() Modified by sarroush, Apr 17, 2012 7:23 PM |

Cba to take the screenshots but watch it! Great episode again because Koko is Loco ^_^ ![]() Modified by Stark700, Apr 18, 2012 2:23 PM |
Good episode, liked the way Koko bring that card up her sleeve,i kinda predicted she was going to use them as bait but she did xD Myldred is crazy, has the hots, and got with knives...my kind of girl :D Valmer vs Myld was also pretty nice Valmer just kicks ass. In a whole was good episode, the ost is just awesome also Koko showing us that sometimes you can win without even using one bullet, she is just awesome!! Next epiosde will get even more interesting!! Cant wait!! BTW regardless how many times i hear the preview song cant stop laughing its just so good!! ![]() |
Mildred is awesome. Her natural facial expression made me think of this: ![]() The music is great. Stuff like the preview playing during the episode? Hell yeah. ![]() |
GG subs are out! Sooo good, This episode solidified the goodness of this show. Quality. I <3 Mildred "my nose is bleeding" I lol'd ![]() |
I'm really enjoying this series! Has a definite Black Lagoon-esque vibe. Shame it isn't a higher budget anime with the same quality of artwork as the aforementioned, but nonetheless it's really fun so far! ![]() |
best thing i like in this anmie is contrast what saiyu voice is making. On 1 hand we have battlefield where ppl die and on second hand Koko voice and her behavior from some comedy anime. It make love this show. Scene when orange head was annoying Jonah was great and ost in runing time scen was nice i waiting for it's release ![]() Modified by dragantis, Apr 18, 2012 2:07 AM |
I love this so much although I dont really understand all the weapons and stuff..Koko is just too great of a character! I love her seiyuu too :) The last was very unexpected. xD That's Koko for you! I still wish they could have spent more and made the animation as great as the sound, but still its amazing. 5/5 9/10 ![]() |
Awesome, I love this! x) Not quite as intensive as the first episode, but still as good ^^ Koko is truly amazing, such a sly fox and laughs it all off xD crazy girl~ Valmet is awesome too, she's definitely my favorite character so far, right after Koko I''m kinda disappointed that the other arms dealer got out of there alive, it's kind of unrealistic in a way, too. He'll probably show up more often in the series because they let him live like that, otherwise I don't see why the plot would let him stay alive after Koko's little trick. I loved the ending part where they escaped, Jonah's laughing was so cute ^.^ Can't wait for next week ♥ ![]() |
It's not the best anime ever, but the action is great, and Jormungand is certaintainly a bit smarter than your average anime series. Comedy works too. I would've expected better from Whitefox, but I guess it's too early to judge. I still dislike the character designs and awful Engrish in the op (just why do they always have to sing in languages they don't know. I'm not native English or German speaker, but it still annoys like hell, when they do that). ![]() |
indeed this loco koko is really something. yea also send other buyer team do all the shooting while koko & crew just run free without even shooting very koko-clever. no wonder this is squad edition of black lagoon. ![]() LIVING THE GS-LIFESTYLE MR.GS JUST ON THE JOURNEY THROUGH THE ANIME WORLD THE KLAC OF ANIME WORLD you either with ANIME http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=24159 or against the anime |
Love this episode, Koko's actions in the middle of the battlefield are hilarious Koko's just being loco Lol at Jonah with Mildred ![]() |
Too unrealistic and light compared to the subject for me to really be interested in this series. It should be dark, cruel and gritty (like Zetman for example this season) and it's playful, vivid and over-the-top in the end, which is definitely a bad thing for a war series. Plus the characters are really, really ugly visually and lacking in a lot of ways. Dropped. ![]() |
oh dear... too much character giving me bad time remembering all of them >.<" Seems like even at war, weapon can be deal in credit term as well LOL... well, war is expensive . Last episode seems like giving the the impression of Koko's body guard are being too overpowered but in this episode, they didn't even shoot a single bullet. ![]() |

And Koko isn't a soldier in the trenches, she's a businesswomen first and foremost -- the subject material doesn't necessarily call for a dark and gritty atmosphere. ![]() |
I love these guys, they're war nuts and ax crazy on a very short leash but I love them none the less! All arms dealer thrive on the Ferengi Rule of Acquisition # 34: "War is good for business." but Koko has a natural talent for Rule of Acquisition # 22: "A wise man can hear profit in the wind." ![]() Nothing is an absolute reality, all is permitted. |

Actually the series is betting on the antithesis. It is a deliberate action on making a young crazy girl the major arm dealer and have her act like drunk half the times but suddenly throwing a scary face to you. Obviously Jacut just wanted a very serious realistic "Monster" type of show and his basically disappointed in his own expectation since the show doesn't fail at what it does because it doesn't want to be overly serious like that anyway. He also seems kind of a tight ass if his overly hooked on the idea that any anime that has to do with wars and guns should be heavy and tragic like. Anyway the show basically rides on the shoulder of Koko and is good when the main character is so awesome that can carry the show. Is a fresh air because most anime seem to depend on anyone but the main most of the times. She's an absolute blast really. I'm just loving it and is definitely from the top this season. When she said we are going out and hold them up for you, i thought "no fucking way is this crazy bitch that generous" and a minute later she most definitely sold him out. I was just laughing my ass off. ![]() Modified by Monad, Apr 19, 2012 2:49 AM |
That was pretty good, not a lot of action but the comedy made for a good laugh. Next episode will have some more action and something fan-service oriented. ![]() |
Whoa, I thought the setting for this episode is in some former Soviet Republic, then why the heck do the commanders sport american names like Maj. Polluck and Lt Col Grant? And why aren't the escorts speak Russian? Weapons trivia: The patriot missile was once used by the Americans in 1991 during Dessert Storm and it is still used today, however it is useless without the following equipment: AN/MPQ53 radar to detect any incoming planes or missile, OE349 Antenna to calculate the bearing and to lock on to the target and EPP III Electric power plant to supply power to the radar, antenna and the missile launcher. ![]() Modified by Nasty001, Apr 18, 2012 11:35 AM |
Another great episode. Koko's No, No, No, N0 part was so funny. Koko's friend rubbing on Jonah's cheek while with a gun to face I loled so hard. ![]() |
