| this was something. Loved it, it was just.... EPIC!! The OP by Yuki is crazy, and the ED is great too The visuals were good, but the music was just on a whole different level!!! Loved how this ended, bit interested into santaro's life (seems like a orphan...) Can't wait for the next episode!!! xD |

| It did kind of develop really quick, but I loved it. About the only good first epsiode of this season, along with Sankarea. There is still hope that there will be more than one decent anime this season! |

| Rushed? Nope, this pacing was just fit imho. It being slower might've made it drag too much and be boring, but this is just right. I like music focuses on jazz, with those new Lupin III bgms and some j-jazz i found lately, i might get into this genre now even more. |

| OP and ED are beyond beautiful. Overall, I'm confident that this series will be one of the best anime of the season if not the year if the first episode is any indication. So, this will revolve around Jazz? You certainly don't see that every day. Anyway, the animation at the drum scene was incredible as the movements synchronized with the music perfectly. |

| Whenever you want to introduce a character as a classical pianist, there's a 50% chance that the first song they'll play is Moonlight Sonata and a 50% chance that it'll be Clair de Lune... | The weirdest thing for me is that Sentarou gives combination of Jotaro Josuke and Josuke Higashikata feeling... it's like he was taken from JoJo. |

| Nice one, indeed a good show well writen characters with good acting but since music is important for me in show and I dislike jazz this won't be fun still can say it can be one of better show this season |

| It might have felt a little rushed but the episode was pretty much exactly the same as the first three chapters of the manga, just in somewhat different order. I'm happy about how it turned out, I liked the episode. |

| one of the best parts about the first ep (besides the OP and ED, and the rest of the music) was the scene where sentarou fights the dudes on the rooftop. i hope he gets into lots of fights, because the choreography was perfect. |

And I Loved the first episode o0o Sentarou's drum solo gave me ever more goose dumps in the actual episode then it did in the trailer *v* And piano is wonderful no matter what genre it's played in~ Can't wait for the next episode! |

| There's not enough good music centered anime out there, so I'm pretty excited about this one. look good so far. Like the backgrounds and chara designs, characters seem ok too. I will totally enjoy if Nishima starts to chill out more, but I can see it happening in near future. overall I have high hopes for this one. |

GOSH, I love the relaxed feeling... I thoroughly believed that apart from the music, I wouldn't enjoy it the least bit. But it's only now, after the first episode, that I see I was in the wrong. The atmosphere, pacing, and sort of a foreboding of upcoming drama - I enjoyed 'em all. And when Kaoru started playing Debussy's Clair de Lune on piano I knew - this has some serious potential for becoming the AOTY. Obviously, 5/5. |
