So it's Jigen's turn to meet Fujiko.

This series is turning very Cowboy Bebop-like...

Jigen is so badass, with his Magnum .357 and even the sound was kinda right, deep and really giving the feel of it's weight.
I also liked how Fujiko kept changing her hair color, it suits her bubbly personality xD.

More like Cowboy Bebop was very Lupin-like, but yeah I get ya

Anyways, lol poor Jigen
It never fucking works out for the guy

His skill with the gun is relative to his unluckiness in women.

Anyway, this show just oozes style. The music was excellent, too.

Another major Lupin series character, and his meeting with Mine Fujiko.
Great just like last week, more refined and classy though. Thi artsyle, screenplay and music gives an astounding experience you don't get normally watching anime. Followed by that, sexiness factors.
Anime of the season i say.

Okay, so Jigen is another old Lupin III character? I really need to watch the originals now.

When he opens the cylinder of her S&W and finds it empty...what a moment.

I'm thrilled that a series like this was given a green-light; a 'mature/adult' anime title that doesn't treat me like an idiot. The visuals are sumptuous and the score is great. I'm really looking forward to putting this one my shelf.

On an another note, I was pleasantly surprised to see Ichiko Hashimoto delivering the OP voice-over. Ever since I became a fan of her work from 'RahXephon', I was disappointed not see her name pop up on any anime or live-action titles in the past TEN YEARS. Good of Shinichiro Watanabe and Naruyoshi Kikuchi to bring her on-board, even in a small capacity.

Great one-episode round story. No need to add more, If you can put a good story with an ending in less than 30 mins, you sir, are a great storyteller. This Lupin spi-off is rocking.

Although I would've loved to have seen Lupin in this episode as well, because I absolutely loved him in episode 1, Jigen was just as awesome. The atmosphere was great and the music absolutely amazing. I especially liked the end when Jigen shot into the air, man that was great.

This undoubtly will turn into my season favorite, it's just this great. The second episode managed to reach the same level of awesomeness the first one had.
I already see myself doing a marathon through everything with "Lupin" in it's title. ;3

I really wasn't expecting it to be this good, ( I have to be honest, I downloaded ep. 1 because of Fujiko's tits. LOL, but the story, artwork and the music got me hooked)

episode 2 was just as awesome as the first one. heck, maybe even better. Jigen's story is so tragic.

In 20 minutes we were given classic film noir in a masterful treatment. I started off with a nine for the series but if it keeps up this level, it will be a ten next episode. I'm going to have to check out the original Lupin III just to see if the episodes are at the same level.

this has the cheesiest and most forced dialogue i've seen in an anime for quite a while.

series is trying too hard to have a classical film noir plot-line/tone. it's incredibly forced and predictable. not to mention uninspired.

though not too disappointed with the series so far, it's pretty much what i thought it was going to be. mind as well stick to it since this looks to be one of the only bearable shows this season. and at least the art style is nice. i like the rough charcoal lines in the animation.

I just loved how they altered the monochrome shading of the opening sequence. What a beautiful, original touch. If they do that for every episode, I just...

Hopefully Goemon's turn next. That, is something that's going to torture me throughout the week.

Another brilliant episode still cant get enough of the grittiness and how the anime seems to be pulling no punches in pretty much every department. Our sexy little femme fatale is proving to be a very strong lead. Being someone who is at the start of the second series & has no idea how the 3 guys joined up with each other, i appreciate the insight this series is giving in that respect.

As for it being film noir, that is exactly the point and i'm thrilled that it is. Even seeing some of the more cliché tropes of the genre being used in this episode didn't bother me at all. Considering how much of a rarity it is in Anime we have Cowboy bebop, Big O, Detective story (Animatrix), Darker than Black and DRRR!! which utilise that theme to various degrees.

The OP is fantastic. I'll admit that I didn't like it as much at first, but this time I read the lyrics and I think it does a great job of describing Mine Fujiko as a character.

The episode itself was solid again. I think I slightly prefer the first episode, though. Can't wait for the next episode. Definitely going to be following this.

Great, very noir episode. It was a bit predictable, but the execution was great, the art as stylish as ever and Fujiko is a walking hard-on causing machine. Miyuki Sawashiro makes her voice sound really different for her.
