Eh I'm no fan of recap episodes but this one definitely shed some light on something - that the only family member Killua truly fears is Illumi. Also loved how they inserted the ending theme into the recap of Gon taking Hisoka's tag, that was just freakin' awesome and got me pumped up.
So thats the end of the 1st season. So this episode was just recap. I really loved the hunter exam stuff of course, the killia's arc was ok, but nothing really special. I like how it kind of kept things subtle and not dragging on any of the moments. It kind of just introduced alot of the key characters and you got this feeling for what killua's family is really like and what sort of life he lives compared to the outside world. I remember this arc in the old series was a little more extended. Not by much though.
So that song they sung in this episode, that was the full version wasn't it? I like that ending theme, speaking of the ending theme i did not realize this but the dragon they show in the background is the one that ging rides and they never even introduced that in the series at all, have they? Unless it was just briefly shown in the first episode, but i forgot.
.....it's not like you had to wait a full week like them. i mean even if you didn't read the comments you could have easily skipped it and moved on lol.

And on to the next arc!
yea i noticed that long ago as well. i believe it's simply because of the dark, dark aura he puts out all the time. i mean, hisoka is found of him. that alone should tell you at least a little of what he is.
even for it being a re-cap, i'm surprised it got three whole pages lol. i like how everyone is pissed at it though. it means more and more people are appreciating the beauty of HXH!
Using that ED theme in the episode really drives it home how unfitting it is for this series, I mean I like it now that I've heard it 26 times but it really isn't HxH music (at least not for the Hunter Exam arc)
