| According to their official press release, FUNimation Entertainment announced at Anime Boston that they have licensed both seasons of Jormungand, Lupin the Third: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna (Lupin III~Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna~), and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead (Is this A Zombie? of the Dead). Also announced were additional home video rights to Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary). FUNimation will stream the episodes on their website and Niconico during the Spring 2012 season. Further release details for the series have not yet been announced. Sentai Filmworks announced its acquisitions of the streaming and home video rights to the two TV series Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope) and Nazo no Kanojo X (Mysterious Girlfriend X). Both series will be streamed on The Anime Network and on Hulu 31 days after they stream on Crunchyroll. Sentai Filmworks also confirmed that their dubbed release of Persona 4 The Animation will use the English dub cast from the original Persona 4 PlayStation 2 game. | Not sure if I like Funimation grabbing the new Lupin III series. Could make grabbing the episodes a pain unless you actually do stream(Which I never do). Seems like they do this to some new shows airing in the season, but we never see an actual DVD release of these acquired titles, so these shows are stuck in some sort of bizarre limbo. Well, whateves. Nice to see P4 getting a legit release with a dub. Not liking how a lot of these releases are sub only over the last year or two. The advantage(to me) of purchasing an anime is having the options of a dubxsub feature. |

| Yay Mirai Nikki. Also not everything Funi streams gets a DVD release from them. Take House of Five Leaves for example they simulcasted it, but NIS got the home video rights in the end. I guess the streaming numbers were not good enough for a dub which is why Funi didn't get anymore additional rights for that particular show. I guess Rainbow will be in the same boat its been almost three years and still no conformation wither they will get home video rights or not. mc said: also heard that No.6 is gonna be subbed. I think they said they will release it this year along with the loli basketball series and Kamisama no Memochou. I looked at the original MAL thread for No.6 and it did not say anything about wither the series would be subbed or dubbed. I guess it depends on how well the stream did. |

| The only thing I really care about at this moment is the fact that the Persona 4 anime will indeed get a proper English release. I'm more or less on the fence with regards to everything else. |

| I think the P4 dub is superior, seriously. Kanji, Rise, Yosuke, Dojima, Adachi, and Yukiko all sound better in English, in my opinion. Again, personally, I like dubs. There are good dubs, and there are bad dubs. (To be honest, most, if not all, of Sentai's dubs are god-awful.) FUNimation's dubs are generally of very high quality. I mean, have any of you ever watched Baccano! or Fullmetal Alchemist in English? That's some stellar voice work and writing, really. |
