Neizaru said: Too much of an idiot to fit in CG universe. Retarded ideology, keeps changing views, constantly screws up Lelouch's plans only by overkill and luck.. only to join up with him in the end.
"Oops, I was wrong, sorry. Let's forget bout those 30 mil people I killed, k?"
Suzaku is not a charcter, he is a TROLL! An expert troll at that.
Now this is completely wrong on almost every single level...
First, lets talk about his "retarded ideology." Now, why would it be considered "idiotic" to have compassion, especially on the battlefield? The only reason he preached his "ends don't justify the means" in the series was because he knows that, from past experiences he committed, do not always work. This resulted in him punishing himself by working for the country that destroyed his. It is called taking responsibility for his actions. He saw that since he wanted the war to end by killing his father, he wanted to at least finish what he started and kept going down this path, even if he ended up ostracized from both Britannians and Japanese alike, because he felt that is what he had to do. This is not much of a character flaw in my view.
As for changing views, this has only happened twice through the series. The first time was after Euphemia pretty much died in his arms and he found out his best friend was pretty much behind everything that happened up to this point. He went on a complete tear fueled only by anger and vengeance. This hardened him a lot more when we saw him again in the second season, however, his methods were still very much like they were before for the most part overall. Just made him a little more emotionally dead. It also ruined Suzaku's chances at truly recovering emotionally. The final change came after he accidentally fired the FLEIJA warhead in the Tokyo Settlement, which finally broke him, and it all ended with him working with Lelouch through a fusion of BOTH their ideals we came to know through the series.
And it was never luck that ruined Lelouch's plans. Suzaku was usually an unpredictable element he couldn't quite counter, especially early in the series. Lelouch may be a genius at strategy, but Suzaku is a genius on the battlefield to the point where strategy does not always matter. Why do you think them working together ALWAYS resulted in complete and utter domination of the opposition?
As for this silly comment:
"Oops, I was wrong, sorry. Let's forget bout those 30 mil people I killed, k?"
Suzaku had no control over this. He was under control of Lelouch's "LIVE!" Geass. So, really, those 25 million people should be on Lelouch's hands, even though Suzaku took all those deaths on his shoulders any way. So that comment is not even an opinion, just factually wrong.
Now, as for the topic at hand. I can't hate Suzaku, he is my favorite character in the series. He is easier to relate to, and his ideology is not only insanely more difficult to uphold than Lelouch's, but much more honorable as well. Just like Lelouch, life dealt him a horrific hand that he really did not deserve. He went about it in his own way. So it differed from Lelouch's. So what? That should not be a knock on a character. If anything, it makes things much more interesting that these two friends that trusted each other are now on opposing sides. Not only that, it made the culmination of them finally working together to take on the burdens of everyone's hate upon the self resulting in two deaths. Suzaku may not have physically or technically died, but, really, his fate is even worse than death. He is stuck as a symbol of hope and justice for the rest of his days, no longer with a face.
I could go on forever on Suzaku's personality, mind set, and development, but it will take too long. XD So, yeah, I like the character a lot, and that is that. lol |
