Wow. He actually fell for it. But hey, Im not really surprised, he almost committed suicide before just because someone told him to, so why not this as well?

3/5 for this episode.

I was thinking it'd end up being a cult or something, luckily not quite as bad as that... A bit predictable and stupid though. A filler episode in my opinion. They need to get back on with the main storyline, rather than bringing in some random person from his past to put him in bad situatons.

Misaki must have stamps pasted all over her eyes to think she will have any future with Satou. He is so darn stupid!

I know exactly how he feels. I fell into a similar situation once. Thankfully I didn't buy anything to sell or anything like that, but I did lose a week out of my life that I could've used to do something better.

Sigh.

Just sigh.

This is slightly better than the MMO ep, but not by much.

Wait a minute. How did Megumi know that Sato lived in Tokyo?
Oh wait... she said she'd talked to his parents first... I get it now.

As much as this show screams shark-jumping, Chris Patton continues to thoroughly rock the dub.
"I am so FU-*eyecatch"
Come to think of it, I'm surprised no other dub for a comedy series has done that before.

Also, I'd be lying if I said I didn't find the meeting of the pyramid company funny. It's good deadpan comedy, something anime doesn't have enough of.

Also, according to Wikipedia, pyramid schemes ARE illegal in Japan. Sorry, Megumi.

"Everyone needs someone to look down on." I wonder if that's why I'm so enthralled by this show. Hey, at least I'm not as pathetic as Satou!

Loved this episode as well. I was so proud of him for grabbing his shoes and running like hell, and yet he still got suckered in. Poor Satou. The chairman is a creep.

LOL This reminds me of a similar situation I was in.

A long time friend got into a pyramid scheme. You could see it from a mile away. Anyway, he called to ask if I wanted to buy some vitamins and make money. Yeah...All right.

I know quite a few people who got into other pyramid schemes from high school. Geeezzz.

Anyway, long story short, I didn't fall for it.

I don't like where this anime is going. They should focus on the real story instead of doing short story arcs. I want to see Satou trying to overcome his hikikomoriness, i don't want to see suicide cults or pyramid schemes.

Also, the behavior of Misaki in this episode (and in ep 16) was totally OOC and unrealistic.

I was hoping Yamazaki would give Satou a knuckle sandwich at the end. Man, it's easy to delude him with just a few encouraging words.

He is becoming less a hikikomori but keeps getting suckered in this kind of stuff.
You would start to wonder wich is the worse situation.

All I'm saying, is that if a cute girl kept showing up at my place dressed as a cat, a maid, a school girl, etc... and bringing me food... there would be no distractions.

Dude's gotta be a-sex. That's the only explanation here.

Ahh man. Episodes are getting lamer and lamer. I guess fillers do exists in a 24 episode series.

Now theyre just making Satou stupider and stupider. Why the hell is this even a 24 episode series?

I rather watch a 13 episode straight storyline series than this 24 episode of random filler. Poorly executed IMO.

'THIRTY MINUTES?? BY FOOT??" I had to watch that part over. Hilarious.

Satou, satou. A suicide meeting, online gaming, & now multi-level marketing. Why can't you be a good hikikomori and stay in your room and out of trouble?

So I just had a hot female aquantience who I haven't spoken to in years contact me out of the blue. She wanted to talk to me. We had a wonderful conversation where she was more than generous with the compliments and flattery. Three guesses what she invited me to at the end of the call. First two don't count.

Out of all the anime in the world why the fuck does my life have to take after THIS one?

Lol wow she really does look different XD LOLed when Satou totally knew what was happening and yet STILL fell for it anyways ... OTL Although I did think it was a good episode, things the pres said did ring true, sadly enough or not lol. Have heard so much about those market level thingies ... ahh, Satou XD
I would probably feel the same as him during that meeting ... WTF was with that guy starting the clapping?! O_O Lol seriously ... weird stuff man O_O

The circumstance Sato dug himself into would have generated more sympathy from me if he wasn't so damn stupid to fall for it after he already realized it was a ponzi/pyramid scheme.

So far his only skill seems to be self-denial (understandable) and throwing good money after bad (i.e. in game gold mining or pyramids).
