| After a (much too long) hiatus, we are proud to announce the return of MAL's Fantasy Anime League for the Spring 2012 season! All MAL users are encouraged to participate in the ninth season of FAL. | so i read all the stuff i need to know, and im still a bit confused, so i need som clarification. 1. you need to choose 5 active shows and two bench shows (what are bench ones?) 2. submit it to FALBot in a specific fashion. (what should the subject be when sending it?) 3. more of a question, where do we go to see whats goin on and such? |

I think it's alright if I explain that if I didn't get it wrong, you can also find the explanation if you click on the bench series link. You choose your 5 active series based on the assumption that they would be doing well but let's say, one doesn't. Then you can swap it with one of your bench series and hope that it does better. It's like some kind of joker so that you don't start bad right from the start. |

It doesn't really matter but you can write something like "Registration" and add your username. 3. Results will be posted on the FAL board and additional information in the FAL club. If you join the club you'll find all updates there with links to the corresponding threads (including result threads). |

So if you choose a good team and don't need to swap or use wildcards, you can still get a high place probably :) |

I'm sorry, but since really many people are registering it might end in a mess if they sent several registrations, so we only accept the first registration. You can change your team if there's an obvious error in your registration (which we would tell you about) or if we change the list of eligible anime and this affects your team. But since it's only a problem with the order you could change it as soon as we open the swap thread (but be aware of the swap rules). We'll be thinking about how to handle this issue for next FAL. About wildcards and aces, it's written in the rules: - wildcards: starting on Week 9 of the season - aces: In any week of the season We'll also notify you in the club when you can start using them. |

| But it hasn't started yet right so isn't it possible to change my active and bench? I'm already registered and approved. I'm not gonna change my lineup, just the ones in the active and bench. I'm aware of the swap rules but I was planning to do a swap in a later time and it might affect my scores. |

| I can see your point and it's not that I want to say "it's your fault, not my problem". I'd like to help you but if I make one exception, many others might come as well and want to change something. And then it would start getting complicated. Even now there are enough problems with incorrect submissions we have to deal with. We'll discuss this matter once again and will make a notice in the club if anything changes, so please check the club regularly for the newest information. |
