| There's a reason Clannad rated so high you know. people like anime that affects them emotionally. Whether it makes them happy or sad, even both. If an anime makes me cry(highly unlikely) then it's doing something right. |
| It depends, triggering my emotions is a rather difficult task, so if it makes me cry hard, then there's a fair chance the score will be high, there are other factors included of course. |

| I was going to say no, but then I remembered the only 3 anime I did rate a 10 so far are the only ones that made me cry, so I guess maybe. AnoHana got a slight squeeze though, so depends what you call 'crying'. And I attribute my tears from Air to the visual novel and not the anime. |

| Yeah that what caused me to give Space Battleship Yamato 2199 a 10 instead of a 9. The last episode really hit me in the feels. That wouldn't be the case for any anime that would make me cry though. |

| A lot of anime I have seen that I've given a 10 have made me cry...but I'd still say no. Most of those anime that I did give a 10 (if not all of them) had something more to them. Interesting characters, a compelling story, gorgeous visuals, magnificent music...if not all of these things). |
