Awesome, Issei kicked Riser's ass and got Rias back! First kiss and Rias' moving to Issei's house!!!
I knew I would enjoy this series!!!

My rewatch value - still 10 ;)

Could have been a lot better. I figured Issei would lay low on the perverted habits at school after having Asia and Rias' naked bodies so available to him.

Can't believe I watched the entire first season in one sitting (well, sort of, I mean I did take a break a few times). This anime held my attention the entire time, Never have I been hooked on an anime like this in a long time. Issei and Rias are great characters, I can't believe I didn't watch this anime a few years ago when I first heard about it. Amazing. 8/10

Now onto the OVAs and specials, and then season 2.

Rewatched and i still love this. Ridiculously enjoyable (10/10 enjoyability). Screw all the (male) critics that disliked this, they need follow Issei and be honest with their love for ecchi.

Worst ecchi series yet. I don't mind fanservice, I actually like it from time to time, but I hate excessive and pointless fanservice. This should have been hentai, plain and simple. The plot is alright and the girls are somewhat interesting but the MC is a perverted douche-bag.

I didn't know what to expect before watching, I am glad I decided to watch this.

Nothing good but the boobs. But that's the reason why most people watch it

I like the fact that the final battle wasn't of the usual "hero suddenly gains a new power just when he needs it most" type. Issei may be a perverted doofus, but at least he won by being resourceful, not by some convenient powerup that was never hinted at previously.

This is one of my favourite harem show. 8/10

I understand why storywriters put dialogue in fight scenes. Although unrealistic it's a film thing, rarely will see a fight scene without the characters talking to eachother. I don't mind it at all.

But when Issei ran out of time on his dragon transformation I went ballistic. He knew he had 10 seconds to finish the job yet he still decides to chat away. Even though the outcome didn't change that was honestly the stupidest thing I've watched. This show isn't great by any means by it was holding it's own as a mediocre show. That one scene had a real negative effect on me.

Other than that, the entirety of the anime isn't that bad. Just by looking at the cover and the genre tags, you know what you'll get in terms of entertainment. I do have a bit of interest in continuing with season 2 but as for right now I need to get over how bad the script was.

Amazing finish to the first season. That battle between Issei and Phoenix was incredible. Can't believe that Issei went to those lengths to save Rias.



Great ending. I just hate that at the end he was back to peeping on girls and being a super perv.



Overall, I was surprised how much I enjoyed this anime. The action was intense and fanservice is always great. The one drawback that I really didn't like was the boob and butt talk and what he would do and stuff like that. 8/10

Those were my thoughts as well. He has Asia and Rias. No need to peep at school anymore

There is difference in fanservice and soft porn. Shows like Infinite Stratos and Date a Live are both harem and ecchi but you see nipple slip a few times only and boobs are not shoved into our face non-stop during important story segments.

And, this is not directed at you but I have to say:

Other thing that makes no sense to me are some people who react to this more then the show itself. They act like the show has awesome writing and characters are so well written when in fact we know that people voted with their dicks mostly.

You like excessive fanservice, alright, to each their own. This is clearly not my cup of tea. You enjoy it, I don't and that is that. But don't justify it's content for something that is not and act how other people who don't like this don't understand it.

This series begining bad, but every episode was better, and this last 4 episodes was very great between the battle and the unrequited love....

....7/10 and see you in the secon season!!!!

Perfect season finale imo, really had everything I've hoped for.

Great watch overall, but this episode bumped it up to an 8/10 for me.

Nice art, fun characters and comedy, also an appealing and easy to follow plot. This is how ecchi harems should be. Much looking forward to the other seasons.

Very cliche anime, but it's mindless fun to watch! My main gripe is the animation quality, which was pretty bad at times.

Great episode ngl, had my hopes lost after previous episode but this one really made me happy

This episode was amazing

So I thought that comeback with the holy items was pretty badass, there are a lot of questions I have about the whole Dragon Arm thing, but it looks like it's invisible to regular humans.

I'm in the Hyoudou x Asia boat, but with his first kiss I'm starting to see a harem ending become very much possible. This is highchool dxd after all

I'm honestly surprised how much I enjoyed this..
I'm kind of sad though because I really think Issei and Asia would be a cute couple but it's clear that Issei sees Asia more as a close friend than anything more. Either way I'll definitely continue this series eventually.

Watched this first season just to see what it was about, not intending to watch any more.... yeah I want more now

I have grown new appreciation for this series, even more so now after a rewatch.

Loved all the characters, I relate to Issei's guy friends the most and Issei's struggles throughout this season was fun to watch.

I liked the evolution of Issei during the first season.
