| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Aired about 50 mins. later. Chihaya wanting to watch the game on TV at Taichi's house, and meeting Taichi's mother at home!! He's kind and led her into his room... Then followed by other members! Mother thought he was forced to what he doesn't like to do. Queen is getting fat?! and hiding herself in kimono. She's been acting opposite of the society because her mother doesn't like her. Though grandmother suggested her to karuta. And showing her lonely childhood that makes her really looks grown up. Queen vs. previous queen. Yet queen's movement is still fast even though she's fat. Chihaya is very excited when watching the game, Taichi seeing her as wanting to practice and thought he will accompany her with the practice. Queen won! Chihaya realized that she is not connecting with the karuta. Nikuman-kun told her to look at the male sempai more (more similar to her), who is battling next against a guy (lol @ the announcer introducing him as the guy who got stayed one more year). |

| YEAH, FUCK YOU YAMAMOTO YUMI! You can't contest for shit if the cameras are rolling. I loved the episode and especially the past of Shinobu. Her smile was bright and the thought that Karuta also loved her really made me love her as a character. To think that Arata has to defeat that guy scares me though. |

| Shinobu becoming more... chubby was shocking. That was a kind of weird plot twist. The last boss isn't Shinobu, per say, but the current Master. I liked the parallel between Chihaya's karuta style and the Master's style. |

| This episode was so effin good. omg. And there was anothing tear-jerking moment between Yumin and her coach. I don't hate her. Of course, everyone's thoughts are directed on Shinobu's weight gain. It did throw me off, but she only seems to have Karuta and Snowmaru in her life. At least she figured it out halfway through the game. and this new master guy. Anyone else agree he is a bishi? I think Nikumakun meant that Chihaya's playing was close to his because of her amazing hearing ability that's been established throughout the series. Grrr. I want Arata to kick his butt in Karuta. |

| Meijin is good looking but I know he's a bad person... XD And I'm still shocked by Shinobu, how can she get so chubby?! | Lol, it was hilarious when Shinobu just only realized she felt heavier because she ate too much ice cream and gained weight. I like her a bit more now. When we last saw her, I thought she was pissed that someone may be able to go against her, but in reality, she just loved the karuta cards themselves. |

| EPIC EPISODE Liked the small chihayaxtaichixtaichi's mom in beginning, was fun Then games start... OPERATION NO ONE GIVES A DAMN ABOUT BROADCAST TIMES FTW Got to see a bit of Shinobu's bio, I don't care if she got fat, reason why makes her win yo. PLus everything I know about her too. I actually didn't like her much until this episode. She turned from arrogant champ who likes cute things, to one who loves the cards and treats them as admired friends. Sadly as expected Yumi lost though, Idk why ppl hate her so much still lol. But the support she is given and her perseverance proves she is a good person. Anyways, the Master's match is beginning and the unknown master looks BOSS. When he grabbed that card they showed, I was LIKE WTFCRAZYFASTSONBITCH Anyways was cool until challenger said he was starting to hate Karuta because of that game. Anyways, last episode next week, it'll be scary if theres not a second season... |

| There was some great comedic scenes in this episode. I prefer the plump Shinobu, if only because it's refreshing to see rounder characters in anime. On the other hand, the Master has such an unfitting face for that stubble, like an older Taichi trying to look manly with his girly face. With one episode left, I'm guessing it will be a "let's all work harder in Karuta" ending. |

| ROFL at Taichi's mother and Chihaya's reactions, what a start to the episode!!!!! XD Shinobu-chan???!!! Well important thing is she won with style and liked seeing her back story. As for Suo Hisashi, want to see him play more, but there's only one episode left!!!!! >_< |

| Well it looks like Shinobu will drop the extra pounds now that she has gotten her snowmaru accessory, so people can add her back on their favourite lists. We've now had some 24 episodes of character development, so the main characters (as well as the main supporting characters) are pretty complete individuals. We must have a second season. I'm ready to go out and actually purchase merchandise in order to make it happen. |

| upon watching the Queen match, i had almost the same reaction as Chihaya.. that of being teary-eyed when Chihaya realized what karuta is for Shinobu.. this is why as a sports anime, this show is great.. it makes me love the sport no matter how foreign or initially bland it is.. this is in need of a 2nd season though.. |
