| Ippo, Coach Kamogawa, and I are all very anxious about the upcoming fight. |
| They did a good job building up the coach's sickness over a couple of episodes with a cough here and there, and its good to see Ippo finally mixing offense and defense. |
| maybe its just me, but that duck and weave looks like it could easily be merged into offense by using his forward momentum. |

| I really liked the stifling feeling the first half was giving. All this anxiety must be awful. Myself to have anxiety disorder, I know what it is to wake up in the middle of the night sweating and not being able to concentrate anywhere... It was obvious that something would happen to the coach, always coughing like that. Our quatuor of boxer is always so funny :P That cape was horrible xD |

| The Chief pushed himself too hard so he can prevent Ippo from experiencing something as horrible as losing again and getting left behind by his constantly improving rivals. I hope that he'll be fine. Everyone better do great out there! |

| Third time through this series and it's as good as ever BUT DAMN I never noticed before just how bad the animation is in this episode. It looked like a bootleg of previous episodes for some reason. With abit of searching online I came across these comparisons   Apparently the DVD version is the left and the TV version is the right. Interestingly it would appear that those of us watching the Geneon USA released DVDs (or via a rip off those DVDs) got the TV version for episode 61 rather than the DVD version of that episode. Really strange. thanks to @lanblade and their Reddit post on the subject for this information and comparisons. |

| lots of development on ippo, and ippo now is working on defence and offence combined, that should make him almost unbeatable. LOL that aoki scene took me off xD and the couch collapsed were actually had seen through the first moment he cough. |

| @Shotaro96 yeah I also noticed the animation seemed strange in this episode.. I guess they blew the budget on the last fight |
