Yet another episode that's simple yet beautiful. Touko and Shigeru (but especially Touko) are so kind hearted and wonderful. I liked the greater focus on Natsume's past rather than the youkai, it felt more personal. I really wonder where Natsume's father went though. I wanted to take it nice and easy with the rest of this season but I can't stop myself from wanting to see the journey to his house.

Probably the best episode to an underwhelming season. I teared up twice in this episode. Next episode looks good too, but ugh only 3 episodes left to the Natsume Yuujincho anime. ): I hope they make more.

That was so beautiful ;_; Natsume often reminds me of the weak side of myself and this episode was another example. It's great that he has friends who can read him so well and help as a result.

I couldn't remember if it was explained what happened with Natsume's parents so it was good to hear it in this episode. His parents look like such nice people similar to their son. Would be nice to see the first house he lived in....and the kind of person who Reiko ended up marrying/having a child with, but I don't expect that anytime soon.

I teared up a few times in this episode, especially when Natsume said 'there are some things you can't have no matter how badly you want them' - Arrgh so emotional!!
I did lol when I saw Natori's poster in the background again though!

Pleasant but also very sad to revisit the past Natsume, narrative which reveals vividly the sadness that pervades the protagonist, the merit is also the dialogues. Excellent performance of Nyanko-sensei.

This ep was practically vanilla SoL, and all the more stronger for it. We finally caught a glimpse of Natsume's parents. Natsume's been training himself to forget his pains and hide it behind lies all his life, and for once he got called out on it. Props to Tanuma.

This is turning out to be the best season of Natsume yet.

Best girl Taki finally makes an appearance this season :)

This episode felt weak compared to the others. Too much focus on Natsume's repressed feelings and not a lot going. The majority of the episode took place in Natsume's room with the rest just walking in the woods with the guys. The only good thing out of it was learning what his parents looked like. Other than that it was pretty much just a setup episode for the next one where he goes to see his old home.

It is extremely impressive how this ep was so simple, that there wasn't even a supernatural conflict, yet it managed to deliver a very emotional story about accepting memories, no matter how painful.

So we'll get to see Natsume going to his parents home.
Something that came to my mind after seeing Shigeru-san with a camera, if Natsume was to have a picture with youkai, would people or him actually see them once it's been developed? Would feel kinda sad having friends but not having the possibility to take a photo with them.

What a great episode Tanuma is a wonderful firend he is concerned about Natsume's well being and the only person who changed Natsume's way of thinking he is great gift to Natsume.

This was sad, too sad.
Can't they do something about the house?
They don't have to sell it.

Best episode of all four seasons so far for me. It flows so beautifully. Amazing.

I can actually relate to this episode, how Natsume always avoids asking for other people's help lest it should cause troubles to them, and how he always hides his own deep feelings. Typical introvert boy.

Maybe it's just me, but it sometimes occur to me that Natsume actually still has some sort of depression deep inside of him, but he's hiding it so well that no one could be aware.

This season has been the most solid so far all in all compared to the first 3 seasons for me. Every episode is really good.

Exactly!
That's why the most simplest episodes in this series are my favorite, and remind me why I love this show so much.

We finally saw Natsume's parents. I suspect, now that they've been disclosed and Natsume made peace with his past, that we will get more flashbacks of them later. They sure teased us a lot with revealing that photo to us!

Beautiful and emotional episode. It was nice to finally see Natsume's parents.

Nyanko-sensei brushing his teeth together with Natsume was so adorable. ^_^

I have some questions lol about how Reiko got pregnant because she doesn't have friends because she's always bullying them
I wish my question will answer at future episodes
