English
I'm not a fan of Japan, just anime/manga. So I like my music in English.

I'm probably one of the few users on this site that prefers his anime Dubbed. That's how I feel about the Japanese language.

I don't really care about what language a song is being sung in, as long as it sounds good that's all that matters.

I prefer English because I really like to know what the song is saying, lol. But I do listen to a LOT of Japanese too. It it sounds good, I'll listen to it. I've got music from several different languages on my iPod.

I like English songs, but I can't stand a lot of pop lyrics nowadays on the radio. I don't know much Japanese music so I can't really choose that.

Both. I have way more English-language music on my computer, because it's music easier and cheaper to come by here and also because I've been into it longer, but lately I've been listening mostly to music in Japanese. The big exception has been the band Garbage, whose stuff I love, along with things my friends are into, such as the Dresden Dolls, and music in French, especially Olivia Ruiz and Ariane Moffat's song Montréal.

I can enjoy music even if I don't understand at all - for example, I like Nena, who sings in German - but it does help. Sometimes, though, I like a song and don't realise what the lyrics are for a long time, even if it's in a language I know.

The music is more important to me than the language. Good lyrics definitely add to the song, but just having a translation or a rough idea of what they're singing is enough for me to enjoy it.

To be sincere... But really sincere...

Portuguese. xD

I like all sorts of music and most of the times ignore the country. After all there is at least 1 album by The Cure that has major Japanese influences. By other hand most of Japanese rock has intense western influence.

Music is not a country issue, I prefer to see it as global.

I like 'em both. People can tend to forget that they can still enjoy any form of music out of simplicity. In other words, if a song has a catchy melody or chorus, then the song can still be enjoyed. A song doesn't have to be necessarily comprehensible, profound, and meaningful to be enjoyed.

As long as it doesn't contain vocals or almost no vocals, any language is fine. Also electronic. However, for some reason doujin ongaku seems a lot more interesting than what you hear these days on tv or radio... Stuff is always the same there :v C74 surprisingly had a lot of awesome electronic music. Looking forward to fuyucomi now~

I care a lot more about the genre than the language, especially since it's not even a factor when it comes to some music. Although for the most part I don't really care for the Japanese music scene outside of some select bands so I guess I would go for English anyway.
