Hey there, lately I've been thinking that MAL has become pretty popular and I'd like to think there should be a Mascot for MAL. A few Anime websites have Mascots so why shouldn't we? Well, the ultimate decision is up to Xinil if he wants a Mascot or not. But in the mean time lets have a little fun and make a Vote for an unofficial mascot. It could be from any anime or a character you made up yourself. I myself think that Dokuro-chan from Club to Death Angel Dokuro-can would be a nice mascot. Though the anime is pretty random and doesn't have a decent plot, she still is a loveable character none the less. |

| Kinda hard to top Iri suggestion... She may be a side character but I like her alot. ... Sorry to be off topic but if the News Crew ever need a mascot...  Announcer to the Dark Assembly, a news anchor(If I remember correctly) and many more! Pleinair is a perfect match! |
| I there was indeed going to be a mascot, I rather see an original one be created (sort of like the on from Anime Suki) than have a character "ripped off" an anime to act as one. Although Iri's suggestion was indeed a nice one :P edit: corrected a mistake in my sentence ^^ |

| Very impressive -- Nice work! Even though I jokingly suggested Sheska above, mascots aren't really necessary. Even if they are, if you look at the vast majority of sites that have them, they are self-created from within the community itself, and with such a talented community, as illustrated above, you're sure to get a good one here. |

| At this time I am not interested in having a mascot associated with MAL. Perhaps in the future, but right now it isn't something I think needs to be worried about. |

| Ahh, I should have known this topic had already come up! Doh, I should have checked first before I drew anything -_-;; Oh well, I am gonna post what I did anyway ^_^ This morning, for giggles (and because it's lovely to have the free time off work to actually draw stuff) I decided to try drawing a MAL-tan. I did this quick sketch:  And then I decided I liked her enough to try doing a more finished version:  I like drawing -tan characters like the OS-tans (and the OS-kuns too!) :) I gave her the pencils and the somewhat studious look because she is very organized and keeps all our lists in order :D |

| Is there really going to be a mascot or is it only an idea? I think having a mascot would be cool. Not many anime sites (at least the ones I've seen) have a mascot. I definitely think it should be original! It could be a problem using a copy written character. |
