Staring strategy failed. Ippo should go out-boxing style or throw some feints.

This guy is fast. How many strategies is Ippo going to practice for this guy?

I remember I first bought Victorious Boxers when I got to this part and was stuck on Saeki. Then I learned from the anime and applied to to the game and won. Up until that point, I was losing by points or getting draws.

well, its six rounds and all that bouncing around is probably pretty tiring, so Ippo could probably wear him down by just continuing with this strategy and then move in for the kill once he slows down.

I had to fight hard not to laugh at loud at the Ippo/Kimura boombox scene.

Saeki really deserves the title speedstar. He's good.

Nice matchup here! A Speed Star Vs. A Power puncher! I wonder how Ippo's going pull off this one haha :-D

That dance at the beginning was hilarious xD

Ippo strategy was so simple, yet very clever. Psychological war is almost as important as boxing itself.

When Ippo had Saeki in the corner at the end of this episode …is it just me or did anybody else think Ippo should have gone for body?

He was still too fast at that time also, his initial plan of the body shot didn't work.

Really good episode, Ippo's opponent this time is very interesting... he is speed hacking though.

Ehh, this fight looks kinda boring. It's obvious with these opponents that have 0 backstory or buildup lately that Ippo won't have any serious trouble with them.

Ever since Sendo, Ippo's fights have just felt like padding until we get to Date.

It doesn't work like that. It's more tiring to attack all the time than to dodge, also it's frustating to don't hit the one who dodges and because of that you can end being too reckless. On the other side to be dodging all the time it's more mentally tiring cause you are all the time 100% focused on all the movements of the other fighter.

Let's see how this fight goes, it looks promising.

Surprised Ippo has not yet faced a speedy opponent till now, just goes to show how creative the mangaka is to keep things interesting.
