| Date san is realy strong ^-^ i like his punch ^-^ the "time stoping punhc" ^-^ nice Ippo held well agains a champ ^-^ (damn... i want a humburget now... grrr...) well i think that dude is a copycat in some way, but he onely wants to catch Date, so there is no way he could win ^-^ espetialy agains Ippo who thinks (subcontiosly..) about surpasing Date ^-^ heh |

| I thought skipping the practice was a great way to represent how little time Ippo has to prepared in the first place. Ippo will definitely smash on this guy though. The four guys ranked 6-9 will be pissed after this match. |

| Hmm, I wasn't expecting that timeskip, they usually show most of the training that Ippo goes through to prepare for a match. Oh well. How does the ranking system work? Ippo is currently #10 and Okita is #5. If Ippo wins does he go to ran #5 and Okita goes to rank #6? Or do their ranks swap? First one seems more logical. |
| Woah, that was a huge fast-forward, almost felt a bit rushed... In any case, that heartbreak shot seem really dangerous on the health plan. But I read on the net that it's almost impossible to do something lke this, you have to be like Mike Tyson to have the power to stop an heart. That Okita is able to do a corkscrew, but he doesn't seem to be able to do a heartbreak shot. Ippo still need to be careful with that corkscrew, I'm not really familiar with boxing, but it look like it can drill through a defense, hence the reason Ippo was unable to stop Date. |

| As the others noted, they skipped most of the training for this match. The low amount of build-up to fights is one of the biggest flaws of this show for me at the moment, I'd say. It feels like Ippo is just flying through the ranks... Which may be what he is technically doing, but it did still take him over two years to get to where he is now, and it certainly didn't feel as such. |

| Okita is jelly. I hope he loses for looking down on Ippo lol. I know it's about time for Ippo to take an L, buuuuut... I don't want his victor to be this guy LOLOL I didn't like the sudden transition with the 1 month time skip :( even if the training part is brief, it still would've been nicer to include it in imo :/ |
| Okita seems like a weaker version of Date, if he's able to pull of that heart attack then Ippo's in for some trouble. Curious how Ippo is going to deal with this. |

| Ippo and Gero-michi's heart to heart was great, very overlooked scene |
| Date's newly-developed technique might be a literal heart-stopper but Ippo refused to stay down for the count no matter what. He would've lost if there was a 3 Knockout Rule or if he was in there without headgear but he survived anyway! Yamada just found out about his idol's rather pitiful past and is now inspired to really follow his footsteps now. This is definitely the beginning of something great. He's going to fight against Okita and even if I have a feeling that he won't be too much trouble, I still have my doubts since he's #5 in the ranks for a reason and he still has something hidden in his sleeve despite being a watered-down version of Date. |
