| Harems. I facepalm whenever I look an interesting anime up on Google, read the list of characters, and see over five girls with, "she develops feelings for (protagonist)." Then I look over to the genres and sigh. Horror....or at least attempts, anyway. They aren't scary and are actually pretty boring to me, so I don't like them. I don't like mecha, either. Robots aren't my thing. |
| Harems (I'll only watch a harem anime if it doesn't have ecchi in it, but other than that, only Reverse Harem is an exception) Ecchi Yuri/Shoujo-Ai Hentai I believe that's it. :P |
| I mainly avoid: 1. Shoujo/josei anime ----- it's a demographic, but it still holds true for me. Most of the jokes and fanservice are aimed more toward a female mind so I get less enjoyment from those. The other elements have to overcompensate for me to keep my interest in it. 2. Shounen ai/yaoi 3. Mecha with nearly all male casts in it. 4. Talent or artistry driven stories where the characters have to learn and improve and/or perform. I've never been much into these kinds of stories whether it be in anime or live action. 5. Depressing and frustrating stories of psychological hardship and/or where characters argue and/or hate each other a lot. I'm watching anime to be entertained. I'm not watching it to get frustrated. If I wanted to get frustrated I'd just think about work or whatever. :P |

| I've have been trying to watch Magical Girl anime for a while, but can never really get into it. I'm not saying its a bad anime, I guess its just not for me. Never really enjoyed Mecha, but I do suggest that more Psychological Thriller anime needs to be produced, like Monster. |

| The only genre I don't care for AT ALL is Sports, simply because I don't like sports. I don't like playing them, I don't like watching them on TV and I don't like watching an anime about them. I'm not really into mecha as well, but mecha anime tend to have very good characters, so I'm always dragged into them. |

| Sports anime generally. I mean, I'm making an exception for Hajime no Ippo, but I don't see the appeal. Also standard mech anime. Mechs are fine, but the generic, and boring formula that follows many mech anime I am not a fan of. That being said, I love like 5 different mech anime. |

Most mech anime could replace the mechs with standard warfare vehicles and nothing would be different except there wouldn't be any 75ft bi-pedal mechs walking around. |

| I don't like the echhi or harem genre. I have nothing against it but its just really boring. If you wanna look at naked people why don't you just look at porn anyway. The only exception to this is shuffle because it was a childhood anime for me and i loved the yandere arc. |

| Definetly Kids shows that have no story or a very weak one. Hardcore Mech anime, Yaoi (Don't mind Yuri as long as its not pure sex), VAMPIRE! in most cases unless they have a very different feel to them than vampires are usually displayed and im not sure about any space shows because i havent watched them but they do sound a tad boring. |
| I just cannot get into Shoujo , mostly because of the art. the characters are too pretty and they almost look the same. Another reason is the bishis are too perfect (smart , athletic , handsome , etc)that it gets annoying. I would take a generic harem shounen romance with loser and perverted male lead anyday. It's not really a genre , more like demographic though. . |

| I used to hate mecha, but now I REALLY want to get into it. Must be the Gurren Lagann/Evangelion effect. Hentai anime is pretty terrible, I'm fine with pretty much every other genre. |
