As time goes on, it seems less and less likely that more anime episodes will be made, but I could be wrong. Although the novels are not available in an official English translation, fans have been working on unofficial translations, and as of this writing, the volumes from the end of the anime through the graduation ceremony are available. This volume, entitled "Hello Goodbye," is a very nice ending, and it comes with a few surprises.

Of course, it is not a final end to the series; it is merely a stopping point. Volumes beyond "Hello Goodbye" have appeared, but only a small part of the next volume has been translated so far. It will be interesting to see where the story goes with Sachiko and Rei no longer attending the high school; perhaps the new volumes will have the feel of a spin-off. Certainly, this series could be continued indefinitely if the author kept cycling new protagonists in and out of the narrative, but without Yumi and Sachiko as primary characters, it would have a different feel to it.

I also hope for more anime episodes and an official English translation of the novels, but if these were real possibilities, I would think they would have started to appear by now, so I'm not holding my breath.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I hope so. To be honest, all I want is to see Rei and Sachiko graduate. I'd be perfectly fine if the story stops there. At least we get some sort of close y'know :(

Just want to say, it's an amazing anime that I've only now watched for the first time, and I still hope for an ending, even in 2021.

Same here man, nice ending to the season itself but the show overall felt unfinished. Needs season 5 but if we don't get it I'll resort to the light novels

I fully agree, for me there were a lot of unexplained things, which I expected to be explained in a fifth season. I remember when I started watching the anime, I didn't expect much, but for some reason the anime caught me and made me want to know what was going to happen next, very fun!

my favorite shoujo ai, 10/10, but this 4th season ended almost 15 years ago and the novels ended 12 years ago, and I have no idea if they are translated into Spanish. The anime was not ultra popular either, so after so many years I already ruled out any continuation.

I guess I'll just read some spoilers
