| It's always hard to guess who's in the right and wrong just based off videos, let alone a single video. While I can sympathize to a degree with the daughter, I have to say at least in this video the father seemed to be reasonable. Shooting the laptop on the other hand, well that is just nonsense. Shooting it just shows a lack of restraint, and nobody gains from it. |

| I actually really LOL'd when the dad was like, "being paid to do your chores? Really?" What kind of 15 year old would expect to be paid for doing chores?! Who the hell is going to pay you money for doing your own laundry, cleaning up your own house, etc.? I live that kind of single life right now, and I can safely say: nobody. I won't say that whether his way of parenting is right or not. I laughed when he brought out the gun, but was a little nervous after firing so many shots. I guess I'm just uncomfortable with firing a gun so freely. If I were his neighbor, I would feel a little scared after hearing so many gunshots. |

| I went into this thread expecting the dad to be a violent hick, and finding this absolutely stupid and extreme. Now, I think the opposite, and I think it was warranted. I can't really judge a persons character when it's only the father talking about her through a video. But she did really sound your average teenaged, spoiled brat; the facebook generation, really. My parents both grew up on farms and had to do a hell of a lot more than sweep some floors, make their own bed and put some dishes away when they got home from school. And apparently this isn't the first time she posted crap on her facebook page, and very likely acted rude and disrespectful in general to her family for who knows how long. In this situation, I think something extreme had to be done(Legally... of course) to get the point across. He mentioned he worked in IT, so he is tech-savvy, so I wouldn't go around thinking he's a dumb cowboy. |

The man clearly pointed out he spent around $130 the previous day on parts for his daughter's laptop TWICE not to mention spend a good lot of time properly installing all the updated software. It was so disrespectful to say those things and beyond rude to say that about the "cleaning lady". So you have to sweep the floor, do your laundry, and make your bed; no one's asking you cut off a limb or break your back. Honestly, parents these days can be way too lenient with their children and to be a good parent you must enact proper discipline with them. And if you've got to shoot a round of bullets straight through a laptop (as sacrilegious as that seems to me) then do what you gotta do. |
